Has the FreeOnes Board become obsolete?

I basically agree with everything Harley said.

I don't intentionally abandon FreeOnes, I just get super busy and choose to spend my free time for entertainment/ time for promotions in other places.
I'd definitely probably be spending time here on a way more consistent, involved basis if it didn't just feel like everyone is constantly attempting to troll each other.

I'm tired of hearing a bunch of grown adults complain about feminists (even when it's compleeeetely irrelevant and out of nowhere) while there are feminist porn stars & camgirls trying to show you free porn and interact with you. It's basically like ok, plenty of you don't want me/us here at all. I feel like it's preferred if I just drop off some photos, gifs & free galleries and move on. That's not to say I don't still have fans & friends here I enjoy, just that I'm not as willing to sift through all the other stuff.

A lot of us like girls and porn too, so it's not like we're just like "ew too much porn talk". But more variety and feeling like everything isn't a battle of snark (guilty) would be nice.

I think Ari has a good point, too.

And regarding the unattractiveness of bigger-than-necessary parts of our forum:

We are bringing itupon ourselves if we aid the trolls and idiots keep up their stupid and gros shit like booger threads and so on and the wailing about feminazi etc.

Grow up, guys.

It's a goddamn forum people. Seriously. If you can't handle the idea of reading things You Might not like, then you shouldn't be on a forum to begin with.

I agree with both of you.

Not to take issue with whether or not someone wants to post (or continue posting), but this era of hypersensitivity that we now live in (safe zones, safe spaces, the right not to be offended, etc.) might be part of why some have chosen to leave forums where there are broad discussions that can lead to disagreements. IMO, too many people have lost the ability to deal with others when their views are not accepted, supported and/or endorsed.

I may not agree with Iceman on the issue of gun control. I may not agree with Animus on the issue of foreign aid. I may not agree with Ari on the issue of feminism. I may not agree with this person or that person on tax policy, climate change or the greatest F1 driver of all time. But depending on how our disagreements are expressed, is it REALLY necessary for people to always agree with each other all of the time??? Just because there is an issue that we don't agree on, does that mean that we are now enemies? My goodness, what a sad, childish world we're headed toward, if that's the case. I've learned as much, or more, from people who I haven't agreed with over the course of my life as those who I have agreed with. Why? Because, if they've expressed their views logically and rationally, they've forced me to think and consider as I defend my own views. This is not a shot at anyone in particular - REALLY! But if you run from, or are (easily) offended by someone taking an opposing position, you'll eventually become a nodding parrot, seeking out (only) other nodding parrots. But hey, if you're OK with that, I'm OK with that too (for you... not for me :)).

^ post of the year.

Yeah, I'm offended at times by some posts I disagree with but I like the openess and the ability to fire back. Free exchange of ideas and what not.

I understand FO is a private entity and can set forth whatever policy they want, but to their credit, they've allowed the back and forth especially in the P&R section. Personal attacks of course should be the exception.

Point is not being PC or whatnot. Point is:

Do you want to have conversations with OCSMs?

You do? Maybe you try to not be THAT gross and extremist.

Oh, you want the forum to be a place to write any stuff you feel like at any given time and be as gross, offensive, trollish as the moment feels like?

Yeah, well, but we can soon talking to each other without any OCSMs.

Of course, it is YOUR choice. The freedom to be stupid applies.

It's definitely not about reading some things I don't like or not being able to handle the idea of disagreeing.
If I disagree with someone I'm not making a mental note of it so I can hate them forever, that's asinine. I'm more than fine with having an intelligent discourse.

This thread was asking why OCSM participation might be low, but some people would still rather ignore the reasons us actual OCSM's are telling you, and assume we're bitching about the whole board not being super PC. Clearly those of you that feel that way, are quite happy with the current state of the board, more power to you. I honestly believe every single OCSM could disappear off this forum and at least half of the people here wouldn't care in the slightest. They're not here for us anyway.
So why would I spend lots of time in a place where so many of the participants feel hostile? There's as much self ego-stroking going on here as there is cock stroking.
When I have a discussion I don't do it just to hear the sound of my own voice..

so most of the time yeah, I'd rather only stay inside my own thread or the few threads I trust to be fun and friendly, like OCSM of the week.

Ah well, it isn't the first time I read a thread about the models moving away and or trolls and or a lack of interesting content. We all love to complain and yes, there is something to be said about how trolls and bad attitude should be handled with. But lets not forget who creates the posts and threads: us (including me). If you want to talk about something interesting or have a debate: create a thread yourself. Don't wait for someone else to create something interesting and then point fingers when it doesn't happen.

I missed this post on the first go around.

While I can understand people not posting in threads that either don't interest them or which they find troublesome, I don't understand them not creating threads with topics which do interest them... and then complaining that there aren't any threads which interest them. But if people, who want to be active participants here (whether they're OCSMs or not), choose not to post, so be it. I mean, at the end of the day, FreeOnes is a site which supports their industry, not mine. Apart from the fun factor and the topics that I do want to discuss here, it makes more sense for me to spend my free time on Bogleheads, a racing/auto forum or wherever. And since I've had a LOT less free time over the past couple of years, that's pretty much what I've been doing. And other people (OCSMs or not) are free to vote with their feet (or fingers) too.

Additionally, there are quite a few more sub-forums now than when I first came here, so I think people are more spread out now. I know that Sports and Politics & Religion took a lot of posts (and posters) out of Talk. But anyway, I think it was Petra who came up with the "OCSM Protection Act" (or whatever they called it). I think that was meant to deal with people who were directly harassing, stalking or bullying the models. If some of that is still going on, then there is a mechanism for dealing with it. If people don't want to do that either, then we're just engaging in an exercise of navel gazing, IMO.

There is a difference between somebody getting oversensitive to intelligent constructive criticism, or somebody airing a genuine grievance against a performer, and a performer getting upset at another person that just wants to be an asshole because they feel they can be one. Far too often on this site with how people treat the performers in the industry it has been the latter. I can't say I blame a lot of them for not coming on or never even joining in the first place. I would also get real tired real fast of the people that do nothing but bitch at me and where I could never do anything right with them if I was in the industry.

On another note I see it's now unlikely my post is ever going to come back, sigh.

Yes, but isn't performers bitching about people and their work what other folks outside of sex work call an "occupational hazard." Your body and how you choose to fuck is always going to have a critic because of the amount of people turned on/off by it, right? It's just like any other actor, musician, writer, journalist or any other job dealing with the public. People are always going to be assholes.

I agree that there are channels for dealing with issues. I used to be one of those channels when I was a moderator for a short time. You wouldn't understand the amount of dumbassery that happens here and is removed quicker than most of you know!

So for those of you ladies who have stuck around, what are some topics or suggestions that you'd like to see created in the Talk section?

We can bring the girls here, but its your job to engage them, and be respectful of them. Some of them get chased out by trolls, and some are really putting a lot of work around the board.

The best thing you guys can do is reward them for taking the time! Girls like Jemma Valentine, Leya Falcon, Harley Spencer, Jeny Smith and brand new OCSM Michelle Clark, have been kicking ass, not to mention quite a few others. Its a two way street, so please help us make this a fun place for both fans and girls!

Besides, without the board, how will we continue to give away all this free stuff every month? :p

Once the boards back on its feet, lets try and do our best!

Was that "hotdog down a hallway" comment a little over the top?

Has the FreeOnes Board become obsolete?

FreeOnes has been infected by the cancer that's killing Michael Douglas. That was a play on a popular 4chan meme and the esteemed Ace Boobtoucher's reply to the What Does Pussy Taste Like thread.

Sorry you feel that you are unappreciated Ari. I never really had the opportunity to write to you although i have talked to other OCSMs in the past who have since gone. Wish i took the opportunity back then to say I appreciated them....you know how life is...you never get to tell people what they mean to you sometimes and you regret it afterwards. Coming back after some months totally away, i am kinda guilty of leaving and not really thinking about the board until i just logged on just now.
