Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.
If I was going to move back to the Windows camp with a computer purchase, I might be tempted to try Windows 10 (fresh install) on the new HP Spectre X360 hybrid laptop. It's supposedly one of the best laptops when compared to a MacBook Pro. Apparently Microsoft worked closely with HP to develop it, so there's less bloatware and annoying bugs and glitches.

Kind of like I feel about BlackBerry, I'd kind of like to see Microsoft get one right (finally!!!). Plus, I like Satya Nadella, as well as John Chen (much more than Tim Cook).

Windows 10 will also be free for pirated versions of windows 7 and 8.

"If you have a pirated (“non-genuine“) copy of Windows, you may be able to upgrade — but you’ll continue to have a “non-genuine” copy of Windows 10."

Not sure what the limitations will be.

Some of the features of windows 7 spa and windows 8.1 will not be in Windows 10.

Today is the day. Windows machines should be on sale near you, updates who knows? I'm waiting until the full list of what is not supported is published.

I bought a used PC awhile back that turned out to have a bad copy of Windows 7 on it. I wonder if they're going to let me upgrade it. I heard they might be letting bad copies upgrade. If so, I'd be pretty impressed.

That omnious Windows 10 App sign on the bar down there is still not showing, but I am really hoping it shows up soon.

In Silicon Valley's newspaper San Jose Mercury News the only mention at all, is the Fry's ad mentioning a free Tech (they will do the upgrade for you) event this Saturday.

From what I read yes they will let you upgrade it (assuming you can log onto the internet with it.)

I tried it yesterday, it was a nightmare. I couldn't do it. I'll have to try again.

I just finished downloading and exploring. It's awesome. I use cortana a lot. "Cortana, open up steam." Steam opens up. "Cortana, open Elder Scrolls Online." BAM! it opens... omg! I walk to my closet and start hanging my clothes when I yell, "Cortana, play my music" She plays my music folder. "Cortana, stop music" "Cortana, play sophie dee big tit fanatic" omg, and the video opens up! You have to excuse me, I have never owned a windows phone nor have I ever had an xbox (im a PC gamer 4 life! fuck you console playing bitches, lol!) so, the Cortana software is new to me.

so far so good

I move to Win 8 2 days ago so not sure
But we all agree: you can try for a period of time (don't exactly remember, is t 1 month and a half orsomething?) and then you have to pay?
It's "free Win10" only for the marketing aspect?

No, have read far too many problems and it is in fact more or less an OS that reads and clones your email and private stuff and sends it to microsoft servers which retransfer to some well known counter intelligence agencies. Too intrusive and not user friendly at all. I will go with 7 enterprise, I am still on XP service pack 3.
