July 29th is the last day you can upgrade to Windows 10 for free, and only if you have a genuine version of Windows 7, 8, or 8.1
If your current windows is not genuine, you can still upgrade to Windows 10, but you will need to eventually pay for it or windows will stop working, or you can find a hack to make it work.
Microsoft should have made Windows 10 completely free for everyone.
Instead of 350 million devices with Windows 10, there would have been more than double.
And piracy of windows would be mostly eliminated.
I upgraded one of my Windows 7 PC's to Windows 10, but it messed up windows, so I had to reformat and re-install windows 10 from scratch.
I've heard a few people had the same problem, and read online that a lot of people had this problem too.

You can use Virtualbox to install a virtual copy of Windows 10, without affecting your current windows.
