I must say that I always find it funny when people want to question Barack Obama's qualifications for the Presidency because he hasn't been a Senator for that long. I just want to say one thing: President Woodrow Wilson. Before President Wilson became the President the only political office he held was Governor of New Jersey from 1911-1913. After that he became the President from 1913-1921 and from what I understand he was a pretty good President. I'm just saying.:dunno:

I am independent and not from the right and unlike most of the college and folks who never lived in poverty neighborhoods or lived on food stamps I did and I decided to get the fuck out of that dependancy once I had a chance to work and make it on my own without the goverment taking care of me. I also served this country for eight years and twice was put in danger by Bush and his croonies war in Iraq, when my contract was up, I decided to walk away from a war I no longer believed in.
I don't believe in fear tactics, but politicians all alike are bullshit artist and Obama is by far the greatest bullshitter there is, you and everyone else does not see from where he comes and where he is going then I can't help you there. Seen a lot like his type around the hood and his types of change and hope....I wonder how many times will his policies have to revised in order to achieve his goals if he becomes elected, will he need four more years by 2012?

What does it say when the McCain campaign uses "Moslem" as a slur? How could they possibly deal in any constructive way with a world with as large a Moslem population as there actually is?
What does it say when the McCain campaign advocates huge subsidies to the richest oil companies but then attacks any restoration of fairness to the tax code as socialism? If you aren't among the most wealthy people in this country, you better be ready for a rough ride if McCain gets into office, cause they're fine with using Joe the Plumber as a prop, but they're real economic advisers are people like Phil Gramm, who dismiss people having economic troubles as whiners and don't care about them one tiny bit.
What does it say when McCain keeps on insisting on instituting the surge strategy in Afghanistan when every knowledgable military leader says that wouldn't work? Reminds me of Rumsfeld over-riding the concerns of military leaders in instituting his plans in Iraq, and we all have seen how well that worked.
What does it say about the quality of people that McCain is likely to put into key positions when his campaign is filled to the brim with corporate lobbyists and his big example of a pick is Sarah Palin, who doesn't even seem to have read the Constitution and is more a beauty pageant contestant than a serious politician. She's got the George Bush quality of not even caring how ignorant she is - and we have all seen how well that worked.
On the other hand, Obama picked Joe Biden.
Neither Obama or Biden are perfect, but they're both serious, substantial human beings who have quite a bit of depth and seem to have a desire to actually solve some of the problems facing this country in a realistic way and a way that will probably bring some significant benefit to the average person. It seems that pretty much everytime a McCain supporter gets asked to list McCain's qualifications that would make him a good President, nobody ever answers. Yet, those same people, who don't answer, continue to list reason after reason after reason why Obama "isn't qualified" to be President.
