Why don't you give him a chance to take office before deciding we will choke lol.
And his election is just a beginning ,not an end.Still lots of issues we need to focus on.He can't do much all by himself ya know.He will need grass support as an example for any real health care reform(which we desperatly need) to counter the very strong well financed entrenced health care lobby's made up of the insurance,drug companies etc.

I apologize you saw that 1st post it was not meant to be seen publically lol.But I do think those kind of comments about Obama are out of line.Attack his policys and keep on the issues if you want to be taken seriously IMO.It's not about political correctness,I have no problem with those kind of attacks as again I really think it hurts your attacks on him more than anything else.And I think the issue of PORN is very low on the agenda.We have much bigger fish to fry,like issues of war and the economy.And If you were to look back at my political posts you would see I was originally for Edwards,then Hillary and had to settle for Obama.Wasn't that I thought there was anything wrong about Obama but I did prefer what I heard more from the other two.My main objection to Obama was I thought he would have real hard time being elected,but thankfully I was very wrong about that.And that electability issue was all over the issue of race,his actual positions were more moderate then eithier Edwards or Hillary which probably helped him with most people but not with me.Health care is one example he has not really proposed a single payer universal system(which eliminates the insurance companies) which I think is the only answer.His more moderate position played well but is not the final answer.Which again is why I say we need to keep after him to do the right thing and make it politically safe for him to move towards a universal system.

the poor are poor for a reason. They haven't been educated on how to make wise financial moves.

You clearly don't have a clue on the current situation. The simple fact is, there are much more citizens now than what is needed as workforce. Basic math will show you that this means there will always be lots of people with no use and therefore no income, no matter how hard these people try to get a job. We can't just let these people starve to death. Those of us who are fortunate enough to have an income (especially those who make more money than they can use) have a responsibility to help out.
Basically, we either consider the unfortunate and poor fellow citizens with the same human rights as the rest of us and help them or we let them starve to death and get rid of them and the problem all together.
