Why did I lost rep points after this forum change?

I had more than 200K points in reps and now 9k? what happened, i didnt have a notification. in the previous version I could see when someone repped me up or down and the message that originated it, now i don't find that option.
it is not vital, but wanted to know why is that?

Because so many members were hitting the rep limit the higher ups decided to change the system up a bit. You still have the same amount of rep points, just under a different system. Think about it like trading in dollars for Euros or something like that.

Under the old system, 1,000 Reputation = 1 Rep Power. Under this one, 5,000 Reputation = 1 Rep Power. So everybody has had the visible Rep Power under their user names reduced by 1/5th. But the total amount of Reputation you had before and after the board upgrade is the same.

I tried to offer my rep points to Charity, but I had no luck. I offered my rep points five times. FIVE times. And still, nothing.

Finally, after the 6th time of offering, a man came over to me and told me that Charity is deaf and can't read lips. She had no idea what I was saying. That's why deaf strippers shouldn't work at strip clubs.

Well that and the blinding strobe light that comes at the end of every Nickle Back and Korn song.
