I think this exact statement will quite likely be the final entry by PlumpRump in this thread once everyone who has actually taken him seriously has commented.
And....
Not to sound
condescending but....
All you narrow-minded partisan types are exactly like Pavlov's dog. Ring the bell and watch the show begin. Quite humorous actually since the responses are oh-so-predictable. You've been very well conditioned indeed. Keep getting your "information" only from Fox News or MSNBC or Rush or Randi Rhodes or whoever is on "your side" and keep living in your comfy-cozy little box.
How anyone can willingly label themselves as an absolute "liberal" or "conservative" on every subject or matter is incomprehensible to me. Such a predisposition indicates an indoctrination into a philosophy that dictates how you
must think on any given subject, regardless of the variables. I'd like to think that most of us are more open-minded than that but either that majority is indeed a very silent one or the sad truth is that most of us are quite content to march like a bunch of automatons in lockstep with our like-minded brethren who have
all the right answers to
all the questions about which the "other side" is unequivocally, absolutely and universally
wrong, wrong, wrong.
Think about your own everyday lives. How many issues or decisions that involve interaction with other people do you have to deal with or make every day that are absolutely and without any question one way or the other.....100% black or white beyond any doubt? Virtually zero is my guess. In the real world, the true solution usually lies somewhere in the middle....in the fuzzy gray area that most of us who are too committed to one philosophy or another are willing to go simply because that's the way we've been conditioned to think no matter what. If ignorance truly is bliss, most of us must be walking around in a constant state of incredibly idyllic euphoria.
Very sad and, most unfortunately for all of us, very real with no sign of any impending abatement.
Anyway, sorry if I spoiled your partisan fun. You may now resume your bickering.
