I'm a bit more conservative. DC Comics were better before the Crisis of Infinite Worlds event. I liked Wally West as a member of the Teen Titans, but not as the new Flash. I like Barry Allen as the Flash more.
Spider-Man (can't wait for the new movie!)
Batman (Damn you Joel Schumacher)
Superman (Reeves has proven he truly is a Super Man)
X-Men (love the movies, 2nd was big improvement)
Fantastic Four (hope they don't fuck it up)
Incredible Hulk (could have been better, not Ang lee's fault though)
I know the topic was comic book characters and those are my favs, just giving analysis on the movies also.
for me it is the punisher because he symbolizes what should be done if there is no justice (he also drives muscle cars a 1969 pontiac gto and after a 1969 dodge coronet super bee in lime green with black performance hood paint)

The movie of the punisher was excellent.
I like spawn (but the movie wasn' that good), fantastic four, blade, judge dredd, master of the universe, marshal bravestarr and blackstarr, thundercats and michel vaillant (a very well designed and very good automotive comic)
Am a big fan of the Apocalyptic "Watchmen" comics by Alan Moore. Especially since all the characters in there really stands out. Those who missed it, should definitely read it. Alan Moore rules.
Rorscach
Nite Owl
Dr. Manhattan
The Comedian
Hooded Justice
Ozymandias
Silk Spectre
