If that was actually true a lot of male talent in the past that lasted years and years would have been let go almost right after the first began. I think a lot of the time women are new in the industry and don't do their homework with whom they are performing with, they don't know who they are working with until the day of the shoot and then can't easily back out by that point without getting some "uncooperative" label early on, the performer that's a jerk is also friends with the producer and/or director, or the women grin and bear it for the paycheck.
It's like the saying goes, "You can't flunk out of porn". The industry has a lot of people both performers and people behind the scenes that should have been put out to pasture a long time ago. Although I will say it might be slightly less bad that it was a few years ago.

If you met the scumbags that some girls doing porn date, then male talent starts looking real good in comparison.
From a producer's point of view, male talent must first and foremost get it hard, keep it hard and finish when told.
You should hear the horror stories that the models tell of the set where the guy couldn't get it hard - 5 hours of trying then the guy cums in 15 seconds.

I can't speak for all female talent but from the few I know well, hygiene, and the ability to get hard, stay hard and cum on command are at least as important as if the guy has a brain.
Remember, for the most part, the talent isn't hitting each other on set, we just do or job, enjoy the hell out of it, and let the other models go home and get on with their life after the shoot. This means the standard talent has to meet isn't the same as what a life partner should be held up to, male or female. I've worked with an awful lot of girls that I would never dream of dating, girls that were wonderful to work with, where we had great chemistry and great sex but had noting else in common. And to tell the truth, I'm pretty sure not many of them were interested in dating me. :eek:
And yes, a girl can flunk out of porn. There's always a small percentage of girls that look nice enough but just can't fuck.... and with first-timers, you never know they can't fuck till it's too fucking late....... And you still have to pay them.

Same goes for g/g.. maybe even more for g/g I would guess.. considering b/g performers could essentially just "lay there and take it" and still at LEAST get a scene finished.. but nothing is worse than looking forward to hooking up with a super hot chick and then..she SUCKS at sex! I have worked with a lot of guys some that people clown like Dave Hardman back in the day. I only had to work with him 1 or 2 times and he was very professional, always very clean and very easy to work with. Same goes for Steve Hatcher and John Decker. People talked shit but they were a lot easier to work with than some guys. That was back in 98 and 99.
There was a guy that I shot with for Peter North that was a fucking dickhead. I don't know his name but the scene was shot by Craven Moorehead and I was scheduled to work with Mr Pete who had to cancel. So they hired this idiot and he was trying to pull that Rocco shit with spitting and slapping. He did it once and I flicked him in the balls. A nice solid flick, and he was nearly puking. I reshot the scene with TJ Cummings who wasn't so bad as I had heard. At least he looked good and was professional.
