I say don't kill the dog. You could try and pretend to be a dog and show him that you own the turf and not him. That what I would do.

this problem must be very bad for you to be seriously considering killing this dog. and since you are unable to move at this time might i suggest you do some extensive research and find a neutral and safe city or another country in which to take this dog where hopefully it will be treated with more respect than it sounds like it’s getting at the moment. then you and the dog will be better off. :2 cents:

yeah its bad, i got a stray dog right outside my window from early morning to sundown barking nonstop.
Plus causing all the neghbors french poodles to bark.
its extremely annoying and there is no animal control to call.
But you suggesting I move to another city or country with the stray dogi will get more respect is not in my future plans.

:nono: You Misunderstand what i was suggesting. i'm saying you dump the dog or dogs far away in another city or country. so far away they cannot find their way home. i'm not suggesting you move anywhere. :2 cents: :thumbsup:

I know when I was a teenager Mr P the cop who lived 2 doors down had a shepard that somebody killed by tossing a piece of meat with poison in it over his fence (maybe rat poison).I heard he thought maybe I was behind it,but I wasn't or I would tell ya how I did it.He had lots on enemy's and issues (really a major dick who should never have been a cop) so the possible suspects for who would want to do something to him or his dog was long.He used to mow his lawn with a guinea T on and a shoulder holster with a 45 automatic in it (real tough guy).Even his wife must have hated the SOB as he staked out his own house while on duty as a cop and caught her having a guy come over for sex.One day you hear a car speeding down the street (its him in his cop car) he jumps out and runs in his house and drags the guy out.

But if you can't get a poison,maybe a cross bow? But man don't get caught,your a foreigner in that country and they may be pretty rough on ya for such an act.Better idea is catch the dog and take him far far away and release him.

I thought about catching it and taking it a few miles away but its a nasty little stray and it would definitely bite me.
People gotta understand, its just a dog, not a human.
Example: my uncle had a horse farm. One day he saw that one of the dogs chewed off all the skin and muscle from the leg of an old horse.
No hesitation, got the shotgun and killed the dog, first thing.

wow, 8:30 on a saturday, its now been out thee barking for an hour, thats why I'm awake.
A neighbor did try to chase it away and people are trying to get it away,
maybe one of them will call the police or something.
If not, tomorrow I poison it and chuck it in the creek

Nah, don't kill him... Just kidnap him and drop him far away from your house. Nowhere near as cruel as killing him.

Not me, Ashleigh :dunno: I love pets and all but this sounds like a unique situation. I honestly believe that Meester is looking for an alternative that pleases everybody.

Buy one of them.

MP has a good point here. It's a dog, not a human.

There are a few reasons why killing it would be better than dropping it off somewhere.

1. It's a stray dog, which means it might be ill & could infect other animals (it won't stay at the spot MP drops it off).
2. It won't stay where it's dropped off, so it might bother other people, who might have less mercy with the animal.
3. It's a stray dog & might be ill (rabies). If it bites MP while he's trying to catch the dog he has to go to the hospital.
4. It's a stray dog, which could mean it's not tame (& from what I've read, it's not). It won't wait for MP to catch it, but it'll either defend itself or try to flee. If it flees, it'll simply return at a later time.

Cats are easier to deal with. A bucket of ice cold water will usually do the trick if it bothers you, while a dog might actually like it...
