Correct. I don't think that the government is out to get them. The government likes them because they are against all of the people that the government is really out to get- gays, minorities, people who are in favor of seperation of church and state, **** users, pornographers, environmentalists, immigrants, anti-capitalists...

Actually, when I go to buy the ***, I'll take it home that day. What I have to wait for is the permit to purchase it. There's a 2-3 week delay on those so they can check background, criminal history, etc.

What's that model that can safely and effectively be employed underwater, a "USP" something or other ? I think that it's a .45 AUTO strictly because the ammo has to be subsonic for whatever reason.
Also, the tip of the barrel protrudes out past the slide a bit and is threaded.

A fairly pricey unit as I recall.

Here, the pawnshops typically have Desert Eagles in .50 AE or in .45 Winch Mag., Either Colt Python or Anaconda 8'' barrel in .44 Magnum or big 'ol chunkin
.416 Cal big bore safari rifles (something that you would shoot a Cape Buffalo with !)

Oh one more, the pawn shops here will also have a handful of those humongous S & W .500 Revolvers.

These are the first types of guns that are expendable when people need money . . apparently. They're just, you know, bandwagon firearms that people decide that they're just not very user friendly.

I hope I find some nice semi-auto's.. I definitely don't want any revolvers. or anything simililar to what you mentioned in CA pawnshops, but that sounds like the kind of *** I would pawn myself if I needed the $. :eek:

They then keep your information on file, for the *** shop use only (they don't turn it over to the state or anything). The concealed permit requires a $24 money order and, if I remember, a total of around $37 for county and fed fingerprinting. GA is a shall-issue state, which means they are required to issue a CCW if there is no specific reason not to. State law supercedes any county or municipal laws on carrying firearms, and it is actually ******* for smaller jurisdictions to not recognize state law or to pass their own restrictions.

Guns are very much legal in GA, yet oddly enough, rank far behind DC in firearm death rate per 100,000. Actually under half of an area where guns are (were) ******* to posess......Go figure.

I don't care about the conceal permit for georgia cuz I don't live there. just goin to visit. and I was googling the *** laws and found that they didn't have a waiting period / permit to purchase requirment. so I figured I'd hit the pawnshops possibly a gunshop or two and find some nice used pistola's thanx for the validation of my hopes and expectations. :hatsoff:

Marlo, you might want to contact some dealers in Ga and ask them the laws. If you're not a resident of that state, you may not be allowed to purchase a firearm there legally. I know that's the law in SC. Just a thought before you make a trip only to be turned away for that reason.
