I often disagree with a ton of stuff the porn industry does, but in this regard I might have to actually defend them this time. There is no conspiracy to not have major well known black women in porn. The color porners like above all others is green, and whatever they think will give them money they will do, most of the time shamelessly if that's what it takes. If they thought that was having a lot more black women they would do that. The absolute biggest reason there isn't more big time black stars in porn is by far the customers. If more people wanted more big name black women, and more people bought a lot of material that was created with those people they would have them. It mainly comes down to that. If you don't like it blame the consumers of porn.
I will tend to agree but only up to the point where the case can be made that the market is likely smaller. But the notion that you offer someone a lesser fee based solely on race is an inherently racist act. That would be a classic example of racism IMO.
However, that doesn't necessarily mean the person is a racist bigot which is different.
Frankly though, people on the business end in certain industries don't want to pay performers, whether they're actors, singers, athletes, etc. They try and find any way to justify lowering their upfront investment and to think exploiting race in some cases wouldn't be one is a little naive. While it's true they respond to market demand, they also have a huge say in creating what the market is. I would think it's in their interests to maintain an environment where they have to pay performers of any type as little as they can get away with. To the extent that is true, of course producers want to drive and control the market to maximize their profits.
The market responds to marketing and marketing is about exposure and you can use exposure (or lack thereof) to control the market. Personally, but for this freeones bulletin board I would have no idea who Misti Love, Roxy Reynolds and Alicia Tyler (among others) are. I am now interested in their material as a direct result of other users on freeones.
