I think it might be a number of factors, the biggest being the producers and crew etc. controlling supply, target audience and offcourse demand.
But the reason the demand and supply are what they are may well be for cultural reasons. This is an american site, so it's of European/Anglo-sax culture. 'White' people are simply the majority, even though the other ethnic groups might not be consiously discriminated.

I base my statements on the scenes I watch, not on real life.

From what I can tell--black women don't "get into" the scene as aggressive as white women. I think this means they are more guarded and protective of their bodies and distrustful of the male participant.

When it comes down to it, there IS far less of a demand for black females in porn, but more so than the 200-2005 timeframe when you couldn't really find that porn, much of it being compilations or really awful crap. Look at our own freeones threads where the number of pages for the newer performers are far lower.

Socioeconomic status also has something to do with it. Has anyone noticed the relative lack of Asian-American performers over the last few years even though there's a large sized talent pool right there in California (not going to get into California's threatened status as capital of the porn world) for the taking.

There are little to no mainstream Asian males performers either, except a guy named Keni Styles. I don't think there will be many either, as Asian-American men continue to skew closer to the top of the economic ladder.
