I'm with Stiffy, I'm here for the porn. I didn't sign up for the intellectual debate or as one wise poster once PM'd me, "I'm not here for crossfire."
This site has so much more to offer (the niche and fetish corner for one). I've been ... using FO since basically I started viewing internet porn in the early 2000's but gave no thought to or even noticed the talk forum til last year.

It's hard to say. It isn't like one can point to a particular day and say that's when it started to go down. In my opinion the best this board was happened in 2005 and 2006 and it gradually declined from there as time went on.

I don't know maybe FreeOnes and this board just got too big and part of it is being a victim of it's own success. It had much less members back then, but it also had much more smarter and loyal people that were on the messageboard. It was almost like an actual community instead of what we have now.

Not entirely false but I will tell you that back in 2005 there were already political threads and rants about Bush and Michael Moore and the fights were more or less vocal though not as the levels that we have reached when political section was implemented. But I noticed that during that 2007 there were some quite disrupting members who didn't hesitate to harass and insult OCSMs, some of the OCSMs are gone because of this. Back in the days, dupe accounts warranted an automatic ban and the creation of dupe accounts was strictly forbidden. Yes, times change,so does the board and we have to adapt. I however miss dearly some of the members I have known from to 2004 till 2009.

Looking back, this seems to have been the case for a long time. There are always those that will try to post as many inane topics as possible and mostly I just ignore the posts altogether.
Whether or not things were better or worse in days gone by is besides the point. We live in the now and it really is up to the current membership to make of the board what they want it to be.

Agreed with all of that, especially that last part. There's lots of people complaining about the board being boring and there not being enough threads worth posting in, so really what we should be doing is actually creating threads that are worthwhile to help ourselves out. It won't improve if you don't do anything about it.

the board is what you make of it, I've had some great interaction with some of the most beautiful women in the world. All the regular OSCMs on here are fun and have great personalities (not to mention gorgeous). I have met some Really cool and intelligent people also. Yes there are a hand full of troll, douche bags but I ignore them as they are meaningless. So, you get what you are willing to take from here. Any negative is your fault.

Some of the topics are such BS and frankly a complete turn off.

I know FO is not about the board (quote J17 Roald, may change under the new boss) but it is a porn ish formum, well it is for me. I come here to have a laugh with people who have become my friends, post some photos, and hopefully get off on the feed back. I am not into arguments and conflict at all. Make no mistake I have had a ball here and you know it but I do see the place changing, though I am only a newbie compared to some.

This is a unique place where the girls can talk to their fans and vice versa.

Please keep it this way so it is fun for all.

I think it is unfair to ask when FreeOnes was better. FreeOnes is great, it's just the Board that has problems, and even then you can narrow it down to the Talk section. Everything started going to hell once we started embracing the trolls. Remember Sam Fisher? It used to be that members would ignore someone like that and just wait for him to cross the line and get banned. Once the rules changed, suddenly the line kept on being bent or moved entirely and people who should have been banned a week into their stay lasted far too long. And the entire Talk section became about them. The most vocal members of the forum made it part of the daily routine to respond to baiting under the guise of attempting to show the troll how stupid their views were, instead of doing the smart thing and ignoring the twenty new posts a day. And then other members made it part of their routine to respond to these members because they disagreed with their views, and what should have been a single-post thread of a troll crying for attention became several pages of bullshit where the same few members argued over nothing. And this had a cascading effect since it drove off the established members that did not want to hang around just to argue and opened the Talk section to the new members who, instead of possibly being embraced in a larger conversational group, found a place where they could talk about their dicks and post threads on which girl they would like to put said dick into. This stopped FreeOnes from being a fun place to waste time, made it a complete chore to moderate, and at least for me is the biggest reason why I never show my face on here anymore.

Some rules on a random forum I opened using Google (link):

1. It is prohibited to insult, demean (directly or indirectly) another forumer or Moderator. This includes racist comments based on nationality. Provocations of any sort will be sanctioned accordingly.
2. Trolling is prohibited, posts without any substantial content posted solely to depreciate without any backing will be eliminated. Such as "that's ugly" or any of such.
3. Use common sense, don't hide behind your monitor and lose all consciousness, be respectful unto others and try to be objective, fair, and courteous. Peaceful debating on topics is healthy, as long as you do it in the right spirit.
7. Have fun. Make this forum an enjoyable place for everyone.

In other words: respect eachother and have fun.

FreeOnes Rules:

The FreeOnes Board has members from all over the world. What offends me, might not offend you. Bottom line, you're going to come across threads, posts, ideas, opinions and images that you personally find offensive. This is a porn board, there's filth of all types.

Also, members love discussing politics, religion, and other controversial topics and issues. Things can get pretty heated so if you're one of those overly sensitive types that can't stand an anonymous person on the internet disagreeing with you or challenging your facts, I suggest either growing a thicker skin or staying away from controversial topics.

If you don't like a thread topic, simply don't click on it.
If you don't like the person who made the thread topic, either put that person on IGNORE or simply don't click on it.
If in the heat of the moment you call someone names (even stupid, idiot, etc), you can expect some backlash from that member or other members.
If you CHOOSE to participate in threads about controversial topics or respond to someone's trollish behaviour, no moderator action will be taken.
If you CHOOSE to write controversial statements, half facts, or overall stupid stuff, expect other members to reply to it. It may not come out all too kindly.

To sum up these guidelines, we're not going to instantly ban someone for calling someone else an idiot. We're not going to ban someone for their reaction to someone else's thoughts, ideas, or opinions of a cntroversial topic. We're not going to instantly ban someone for posting stupid shit (trolling). This is a great time to learn the IGNORE feature on this board, or grow a thicker skin!

In other words: give some people freedom and they turn it into a shithole.
