When the Emergency Broadcast System test screen pops up right in the middle of a TV show I'm watching. 
Not only that, but it fucks up the DVR so I can't rewind to catch what I miseed. :hairpull: It's just not right. And how many fucking times do they need to test it? I think once every 6 months ought to do it. But nooooooooooo. 
They have monthly tests (that actually occur more than once a month) and they have weekly tests. If they keep testing the EBS, they're gonna end up wearing the whole fucking thing out!
The EBS test is just like a car alarm. How often have we heard a car alarm going off somewhere and we automatically assume that it's going off for no reason? We don't say to ourselves, "Oh, no! Someone's car is being broken into! Call the police!" Instead, we're like: "Dude, shut the fucking alarm off!" One day the EBS is going to pop on TV with a REAL emergency notifcation, but I wouldn't know about it because I've already tossed my remote aside and walked to the kitchen to get a drink. :eek:

If I'm going to steal something - anything - it's going to have a seven figure value attached to it. Maybe it's me, but I find risking a criminal record for something worth a few bucks to be .. well... just stupid.
