You don't need to wait 6 minutes. Just keep retrying until it gets through. I guarantee it won't take 6 minutes but you might need to retry up to 20 times if you're unlucky. This problem is turning the board into a read-only board as only people with patience will bother posting rotest:

Perhaps the volume of posting in a short time is bringing up this problem. How much are you all trying to post in what increments of time? The rush and load could very possibly take some time.

I've seen this before when posting just 2 things. I post on one thread, then a minute or so later I post on another thread and it says "You must wait 10 seconds. Try again in 288 seconds" or something.

Am I the only one still having this problem on a daily basis? It isn't just once or twice, it happens over and over again. I'm speculating that most people who don't post much won't see the problem and therefore won't complain. However, frequent posters like me who often post multiple times within the broken timeout periods (e.g. 255 seconds, 410 seconds, etc.) will see this problem again and again.

Not much of a problem over here. Maybe if you cant wait 120 sec or whatever the post is not important enough. Perhaps the more you post a time/wait thingy could be used. Make all posts after 6 in 6hrs wait some or use rep points/credits to post more frequently.

It's still happening to me too, but I guess I'm to the point of accepting it as part of using the board now

I just had this happen to me. I posted one thing. Then tried to post in another thread probably 30 seconds later or so, then it says I gotta wait 280 seconds. Waited about a minute and tried again, then just closed out the thread. Wasn't THAT good of a post lol.

Yeah, I've had my post time jump around and whatever I'm posting will end up being posted before whatever's been posted last.

I now just keep click on search or post or whatever and it eventually seems to do what I tell it to. Some times takes 15-20 rapid clicks. I assume the Webmaster is either unconcerned or unable to fix this.

I've said it before, the workaround (not the fix) is trivial - if you are about to print something that says wait more than 10 seconds, the board is broken so just let the post through. Give any competent programmer access to the source code and he can implement this ASAP. Nothing complicated about it. The real fix may be hard but the workaround isn't.
