What If The America's Were Not Colonized

There would be infinitely less America bashing on porn forums. I am astonished at how much the world hates us especially some of the English members. I just don't get it but fortunately I'm beginning to not give a flying fuck.

I thought you was Romanian?

Why save the world, when you can rule it?
It's basically geo-political penis envy. Europe remembers when they were THE superpowers and they wish they still were. There was a line in the last season of The West Wing, "These Europeans...the pretend a relevance which they no longer posess." That's basically it.

yeah, that's right... Nothing to do with the us being idiots. Lets have a more accurate perspective from someone who, as an america-hating European, knows the truth:

Why america is no longer a superpower:
1: Your economy is fucked
2: Your Military is weak and poorly organised.
3: Your people are using their unconditional love for their country.

Why Europeans hate america:
1: During the Suez crisis america used it's strong economy to force England and France to abandon their takeover bid of the Suez canal because it had spent so long heckling the Soviets over their activities in Afghanistan and when England and France embarked upon the venture the Soviet Union simply turned around, pointed at the us and shouted "Hypocrites!"

2: Shortly after WW2 Nato EVERYBODY realised that it was time to downsize to intermediate calibre rifle rounds.
During WW2 the Germans developed the STG44.
Post WW2 the Soviets fielded the AK47.
Post WW2 the British were working on a bullpup rifle using a new British .280 round.
america then showed up with the 7.62 round and it's M14.
america then used NATO to enforce universal NATO adoption of the round in all NATO service rifles.
The 7.62 is also used as a sniper-rifle round and the average soldier cannot control the power of this round in everyday close combat situations - 7.62 is completely impractical for a service rifle.
Approximately 2 years later (correct me if I recall wrong) the americans then produced the M16 in 5.56... A big slap in the face to the rest of the world.

3: americans insist an american general always commands NATO forces. american generals are so good they supported the adoption of the Stryker, the M1 Abrams, the Growler and the Failure 22 Raptor air supremacy fighter.

4: americans are arrogant (as exemplified by your post); always acting as though they saved the world from Hitler and the reds. The truth is that during the 2nd world war the allied powers had a saying:
"When the Germans shoot, the allies duck,
when the Allies shoot, the Germans duck,
but when the americans shoot, everybody ducks."
Little has changed.
Not only that, but the only reason america helped Europe fight Hitler is because they feared that should he be victorious they would be facing a Europe united under Hitlers Germany in combat - not a good proposition.

5: americans are constantly claiming they invented things that the Europeans did, eg the Harrier jump jet and the cruise missile.

6: americans rarely display any humility or gratitude:
Aside from fear of facing a Euro-reich the americans also gave aid to the allies because the British gave them jet technology and radar... You're welcome by the way :D

7: americans have used measures to interfere in the developments of their allies; forcing a stop on the development of Britain's BAC TSR 2 and Israel's F4X Recon phantom.

8: You never, ever find it necessary to ask an american:
"I'm sorry, could you say that again? I couldn't quite hear you..."
You are LOUD
And that's even worse when you see americans at Acropolis saying; "There's no way this building can be that old, no way anybody built anything before america did..."

9: america is well known for being corrupt both morally, politically and financially, polluting and allowing big business to run riot.

10: america is the home of rap music. What greater reason do you need?
I could list more reasons, but I feel that 10 will suffice for now.
And by the way, wether you admit it or not; it is you americans who envy Europe, not the other way round.

America....FUCK YEAH!! Seriously though, all that aside why pick on rap music? Yeah most of it is horrid but that is no reason to completely ignore the other genres of music that were born here.

so how are americans treated in europe... if i went there would i be easily identifiable as a yank

The same way Native Indians are treated in America., we can recognise you before you even open your mouths.

Wow, if I knew I was going to get this kind of response, I would have posted what I said on a Monday. :1orglaugh

You do a very good job of posting so many pseudo-points that we both know that any response is a lose-lose situation for me. But, fuck it, I never claimed to have good judgement.

1: Your economy is fucked No it ain't. During the worst of our economy, we still have roads clogged with company trucks/vans and people going to work. And during our lives their is no place in the world where someones economy isn't fucked.
2: Your Military is weak and poorly organised. Anytime the heroic European Union wants to pick up the slack, be my guest.
3: Your people are using their unconditional love for their country. Ummm....what?

2: Shortly after WW2 Nato EVERYBODY realised that it was time to downsize to intermediate calibre rifle rounds.
etc., etc., .... This is why the world hates us? I'm glad we cleared that up. Now I hate us too!!

3: americans insist an american general always commands NATO forces. Well, insist right back. It won't kill ya.

american generals are so good they supported the adoption of the Stryker, the M1 Abrams, the Growler and the Failure 22 Raptor air supremacy fighter. M1 tanks are the best battle investment in history along with the A-10 Warthog. Really, it's you dissing the M1 that has me replying to this laundry list. Get a clue.

Not only that, but the only reason america helped Europe fight Hitler is because they feared that should he be victorious they would be facing a Europe united under Hitlers Germany in combat ummm...yeah, it's called acting in the National Interest. Sorry, I guess we should have stayed home.

9: america is well known for being corrupt both morally, politically and financially, polluting and allowing big business to run riot. Yeah, we have a lot to live up to what with the British Empire, French Monarchy, Third Reich setting such sterling, previous examples for the world.

I don't think there's any chance colonization of the Americas doesn't happen, although minor things could affect when and who did it. Once the firearm became established in Europe it became too convenient (and inevitable) that it would be used to exploit those without it. An English King or two that's a little more lienient or oppressive on religious freedom means the Mayflower (and those from England that followed), doesn't happen. But that just opens things up for Vikings to work their way down from Greenland/Iceland, Dutch, French, Spanish, or Portuguese. Sometime between 1500s-1700s it going to happen.

you had me until the vikings.
vikings, norsemen assimilated into european countries 400 years prior to the spaniards coming to the americas.

like i said, if england didn't cross over in the early 1600's then Spain would have eventually taken both continents assuming no one else took it first.
but actually not actually spain but their latino descendants by simply migrating north until they said " ya no mas! es demasiado frio aqui!"
spain itself didn't want north america because no gold, if there was they would have taken it and no one would have stopped them.
there was no stopping this guy.

No, we'd all be speaking Russian.
The vast majority of Nazi casualties occurred on the Eastern front, you americans can say what you want but the fact remains that you did NOT save the world, so kindly can it :)

Even Germany would have wised up and consolidated their huge gains sooner or later instead of continually pushing farther into Russia who had a greater population and a winter they weren't prepared for while stretching their supply lines. Still they were massively out killing the Russians per number of soldiers they had. They probably could have stopped, if only on the eastern front, built up their strength faster than most others if they did and again went crushing everybody. Having us force a two front war on them probably had more of an effect than any other factor in their loss (not to mention the massive amount of war material we generated). Even then the allies came closer than a lot of people think to actually losing. At one time some people might have slightly exaggerated the U.S. role in it, but now I think things have actually come full circle where people, especially in Europe, now engage in revisionist history or paint themselves in a better light because the reality is they got their asses handed to them, and also because there are people that don't like the U.S. and don't like to praise the us any more than they have to. Without the U.S. involvement it wouldn't have been won despite what other people like to think. There just no way to get around that.

yeah true. it can be stated more simply by saying that if the usa didn't fight in europe then english, canadian and australian forces wouldnt have gone into france, all the troops and resources used by the germans to fight them would have gone to the eastern front effort and germany would have eventually broke them.
but then again if the usa didnt enter WW1 germany would have easily won that one, and there wouldn't have been a WWII to begin with.

Can we maybe stick to the discussion instead of talking about world war two and why Europe/America sucks?

Why america is no longer a superpower:
1: Your economy is fucked
2: Your Military is weak and poorly organised.
3: Your people are using their unconditional love for their country.

1. Yes, and we run a flawed system, but I hate to brake this to you but and most of the people in Europe, but the whole world's economy is screwed, you're quickly becoming more like us everybody, and aren't that far behind at all in following in our footsteps.

2. If anything our military is too built up and strong. It's pretty well organized, but the problem is that it tries to do things it shouldn't be doing. That's more of a "our politicians are idiots" problem than a flaw in our military. Plus, out of all the Western nations we are the only one that has a military to speak of. All the rest have token forces and nothing else. It's pretty easy to keep an army smoothly running when that country doesn't even have one and just relies on America to do the dirty work for them.

3. If anything the people on this board show just how untrue that statement is. Most people don't have unconditional love for their country or think it's beyond fallibility.

I'll give you that one, but also point out in that respect we aren't that much different than anybody else. England and France have done a lot worse things than that to other countries for their own benifit, and in modern history to. The difference here is that you weren't the most powerful one and didn't get your way. This is a case of disliking us by holding us up to a higher standard than the people that dislike us do themselves.

2: Shortly after WW2 Nato EVERYBODY realised that it was time to downsize to intermediate calibre rifle rounds.
During WW2 the Germans developed the STG44.
Post WW2 the Soviets fielded the AK47.

Approximately 2 years later (correct me if I recall wrong) the americans then produced the M16 in 5.56... A big slap in the face to the rest of the world.

If it makes you feel any better going to the 5.56 round was pretty stupid of us. The AKs have been using 7.62 pretty much forever now and don't seem to have a problem with it. Your getting upset about something like this? They shouldn't be that pissed when they came out ahead from it by accident. It's not like the Western countries besides us need to have troops around the world like the U.S. does and need smaller rounds to save on very large scale logistics. I could also point out we also for some dumb-ass reason went to 9mm instead of the much more superior .45ACP just to conform to NATO and European countries that use it so it goes both ways. I also find your statement that "the average soldier cannot control the power of this round in everyday close combat situations" beyond absurd. Not unless you think U.S. citizens are practical modern day Spartans and are more bad ass and have more battle prowess than everybody else. That would ignore all those people around the world that seem to handle it well. I don't know anybody that can't handle it.

3: americans insist an american general always commands NATO forces. american generals are so good they supported the adoption of the Stryker, the M1 Abrams, the Growler and the Failure 22 Raptor air supremacy fighter.

Can you blame us. NATO doesn’t really do anything in a realistic sense in military engagements. What really happens is the U.S. ends up doing something while funding almost everything, supplying almost all the troops, conducting almost all the strategy, transporting almost all the supplies, and taking almost all the loses. There are very few real NATO operations. They are really U.S. operations that the other NATO countries slap their names on both because they don't have to do anything (even while benefiting from it) and because they can pretend we are all a part of one big happy family where everybody contributes. In that case why the hell would we ever want a foreign commander to lead our troops. If I controlled the military I wouldn't let it happen for anything short of the person in charge having strategic and tactical prowess to be the next Hannibal. I'll tell you what. If there is some important and huge operation that NATO thinks should be done and the other countries supply 95+% of the troops and supplies among other things instead of the other way around then we can have a foreign commander leading them. AS far as the Abrams and the F22 go, they are the best. They might not always the most cost efficient, but they are the best.

My last post pretty much explains this, but again whether you like it or not, and whether the U.S.'s motives were totally pure or not we did essentially save Western Europe from both the Nazis and Russia afterward. Not liking it or trying to warp history doesn't change it.

5: americans are constantly claiming they invented things that the Europeans did, eg the Harrier jump jet and the cruise missile.

That's only a half truth and needs to be looked at in context on an individual basis. In most of those cases in a realistic way we are right. In most practical senses the things American's claim to invent they really did. In most cases of those type of claims where it's in dispute only in the absolute most technical sense is it wrong and even then the product that came about before is nothing like it's modern or most thought about form, and often it's even questionable if it can really be called the first iteration of it. Often those things either worked badly or didn't work at all. That also doesn't take into account the incredible vast amounts of things we did invent where there is no dispute.

6: americans rarely display any humility or gratitude:
Aside from fear of facing a Euro-reich the americans also gave aid to the allies because the British gave them jet technology and radar... You're welcome by the way :D

Again, this only works if you apply a higher standard to use than to everybody else, including yourselves.

I'd rather have that than have to ask people to explain themselves over again. I have a feeling that if somebody else other than an American acted like that most people won't take that much notice of it. Plus I don't think we should be judged on some select stupid people, and a higher portion of the stupid ones we have like to vacationing.

9: america is well known for being corrupt both morally, politically and financially, polluting and allowing big business to run riot.

Completely true I'll admit. I'm not proud of it, and we need to change. On the other hand everybody else is just as bad. Either they do things as bad or worse than us (often much worse), or they would do those things if they had to power and resources to do them. At least there are a great many Americans that can see us for what we are and call ourselves out on it. We are more apt to do that than almost anywhere else where a greater portion of people like to stick their head in the sand about their country's faults. That also goes back to other places holding us to a higher standard than everybody else.

There really is no what if here because I can't see any scenario where they wouldn't have been colonized. I mean you've got this giant land mass out there with civilizations who were relatively primitive when it comes to military might and you tell me you wouldn't be tempted to go in and claim that place for yourself? Even if you delayed it say a couple hundred years it would still happen and it would pretty much play out like it did because the stronger group will always prey on the weak.
