What do you like on your hamburger?

For years I preferred lettuce, tomato, and ketchup, light on the pickles, no cheese.
Though I thought initially it was absurd, recently I was turned on to the taste of barbecue sauce (thick & sweet recipe) on my burger, with pickles and fried onions... yum!

I had one last night, grilled on the BBQ. I went pure with cheese and pickles and mayo.

Usually I like the works. Tomato, onion, lettuce, mayo, and sometimes some good mustards. No ketchup please!

Mayonnaise, Swiss cheese topped with mushroom slices.

But my favorite is same above but instead of mushrooms it's a Sunnyside up egg. You take that first bite and break the yoke and it just smothers the burger.

Protein. It's fantastic.

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
Depends, but I tend to lean towards Cheddar cheese, thick sliced bacon, A1 bold and spicy, ranch dressing. This would be a once and a while, home cooked type burger, when choosing one at a restaurant, I will go with something I wouldn't go through the trouble of making at home. Fast food, it would be the standard....sometimes a fast food burger is a taste you can't substitute, but there are better fast food joints, so sometimes they don't totally suck.

Three lullabies in an ancient tongue
My typical burger is a seedless bun (Ciabatta if possible), toasted, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, mustard (regular ol' yellow, not that brownish stuff) and mayo. :yummie:

I like variations. My main thing is: Hamburgers need to be of a size that does not go overboard so you have to worry about half of the fillings fall off, or it is too hard to eat necuse you can hardly biteit etc. The Burger King Whopper size does it for me.

My favorite ingredients: I like the classic, please make it really grilled beef, Gouda cheese, some onion rings, ketchup, please some hot ketchup, and lettuce. A second sauce to counterpart the hot ketchup can be delicious, Remoulade maybe.

And the bun should be no usual one, as uneventful in rebards of taste and bite as McDonalds, I prefer handmde buns, they have to be a little crispy

When I used to do "build your own burger" at Varsity back in the day, used to be beef chilli, onion rings and bacon, but that was a sloppy mess. These days when we do a Five Guys run I'll tend to go fried onions, bacon, jalopenos and barbecue sauce. My favourite meals are ones that nail meaty, sweet and spicy all at once, so that burger does me well.

Although I won't lie, if we go to GBK I'll usually ignore the beef altogether (like a massive gaylord) and go for a Salvador (pork/chorizo patty, avocado, crispy onions, garlic mayo) or my most recent favourite, the Satay (panko crumbed chicken, satay sauce, crispy and pickled onions, garlic mayo, rocket).

I'm more of a dog man anyway.

Idiot. Since when have you had cheddar cheese? Cheddar cheese is from Cheddar, Somerset UK. This cheese is not found in gumbyville USA.

Olive burger

Real beef patty with real mayo and a hand full of green olives, thats it.

best burger ever imo

I like a strong cheese and horseradish mustard on it. Occasionally I will also add some mayonnaise to one of the buns.

Butter the bun, grill it in the skillet. Then add bacon, burger, pepper jack cheese, and a fried egg. Right before you eat it push down on the top bun to break the egg yolk, so it soaks into the bun. Fantastic.
