What are you playing on your guitar, drums or bass right now?

Ok,gotta be musicians on here or at least men/women who play instuments as hobbies so thought Id give this one a whirl.

I play guitar mostly and been hammering out "the day that never comes" by Metallica at the moment.....wanna play all 500 parts so its taking time to study. The joy of multi-tracking in a studio.....:banger:

I'll admit, I'm quite envious of anyone who can play guitar. I've tried, but it's just something I can't seem to grasp. Maybe lessons are something I should try. :dunno:

I've been trying to write my own stuff lately, but I always end up playing Canon in D Minor. It's just the perfect song.

I hear ya' bro, Soundgarden was a great band to come out of that scene too. Fuck Pearl Jam! Thats right I said it........lol

HELL YEAH, Fuck Em! there cover of Blackhole sun is amazing.

Thats a great acoustic song man,no doubt. AIC one of the better bands of the early 90's and Jerry Cantrell one of the great musicians to come out of that scene also. In my opinion.

Yea I Love AIC(Rip Layne) and I love Jerry Cantrell but I cant stand him for what he is doing right now with AIC

I suck so bad at sweep picking so Im just practicing that and my alternate picking.

Gotten into a Django Reinhardt trip lately but I've been trying to learn (by ear) some Beethoven. On Bass I've been messing around with a pedal board but that's jamming.

I haven't had too much time lately, but when I have, I've been trying to nail Helter Skelter by the Beatles on both Guitar and Drums (my nephew has the drums I play on, so that sort of limits me).

Never learned an instrument. When I was young I had some affinety for the Harmonica.. never went with it though. Would love to learn to play all of the ones listed though. I love music. However I do have fairly stubby fingers and the start of arthritis so I think drums be my best option

That's ambitious:bowdown:

yeah, its not easy to pull off but if you take it in segments and work on it like that, polishing it up as you go, its not too bad. I'm convinced he's an alien, best ever in my book and my main inspiration. His sense of phrasing and ability to make the guitar speak with articulation is second to none.
