Week-long heatwave set to hit UK

London was unbearable last Friday - very humid and very warm.

London tends to get very humid July/Aug : I was over there on business,
Couldn't wait to get out of it, given the conditions.

I have to live there :crash:. A nice industrial sized fan and some ice usually does it but my god if you go outside it's hell.

Yeah your electicity bills at the end of the summer are high but it'll be worth it.

:D Well probably not.

c'mon a hot sticky london is great! When on the tube (London's subterranean locomotive system for those that don't know) I try to surreptitiously suck the sweat through the back of commuters shirts & blouses!

Well, the ladies always come out with there little tops which is nice. I cant complain about that. :D

Public transport though is hell, unless you have a girl in a little top which makes it all the more fun....

If it's a comp. then Texas wins :D

Texas is bad. But so is Arizona and Nevada. All these British guys complaining about the heat might want to try living in a place with dry heat. Phoenix, AZ can be ******. I used to **** it when it was mid-November and the temp was kicking past 95 farenheit.

29 degrees C doesn't seem that bad. It's already been worse for almost a week here and our heat wave ended just a day ago. It's also pretty humid where I'm at.

Stay cool my friends on the other side of the pond.

Absolutely. Heatwave?? :wtf: LOL.

Doesn't sound a high temperature to lots of you but it's all relative to what you're used to.Mind you, my ****** lives in Australia and if she visits when it's hot here she says it FEELS hotter.

You call that hot?

No ****! That's springtime here in Texas. :1orglaugh

You want to talk heat? The temperature the past 3 days in Houston has been over 102 each day with a high of 105 on Saturday. The dewpoint was 77 yesterday....like a sweltering steambath. The average temperature for June has been 98 degrees and we haven't had any rain in over a month.

Still, I'll take heat any day over the freezing cold shitty snowy icy slushy **** like a lot of you poor bastards have to put up with for much of the year. The heat is uncomfortable....cold HURTS.

We don't get many hot days here and not many cold, shitty snowy icy slushy shitty days either! We actually got a couple of inches of snow here last winter, it lasted a couple of days and that was the first real snowfall for many years. Most winter days are in the 40s.

Personally I don't mind the heat. A lot of my ********* was spent in Southern Africa, so this is nothing for me. And as a bonus everyone dresses ultra casually :D.

It does get a tad uncomfortable on the peak-time tube trains and buses though.
