From the holy crap department!
I am shocked! I just got up to have my cup of coffee... shaken not stirred, and was told that http://www.vickyathome.com is now a FINALIST in the FAME Awards for FAVORITE STAR WEBSITE!
I am stunned!!!! This was a wild card category and you had to be written in. So..... to get nominated that category had to beat out other categories, and fans had to write in Vickyathome!

Needless to say, I am flattered. I don't push for the FAME awards because they are so star driven by major studios (I do my own thing). For fans to write me in is an honor. Time to vote though guys....... anything is possible if you remember Booble last year.

Yup.... all my design. I just redid it, and there are a few tweaks to be done yet. I went to school for some of the stuff so it is nice of you to say that!!! Thanks! :hatsoff: I tried to go in a different direction with design than the standard 'look at this hot picture' type of site. Everything is done with a bit of a sense of humor.

Youre a very talented girl to do all of that :hatsoff:. Do you also manage all the technical aspects of the site yourself eg security backup etc. You mention you do the design, does that actually mean you do all the art and pics???

Everything Tittenman..... if you ever read any reviews of the site when I first did it, the design was very 'basic' and the site always got dinged. So, I went and studied at school and found out what I was missing technically to put in all the bells and whistles.
I run the network out my home..... really. I do not have a designer. The IT support is me. Every now and again I get help from the people who run the server and billing is helped by the processor. I learned from mistakes. There are still things to clean up but I am pretty happy with the direction.
