Uganda? That's all you got? You are not affected by Ugandan theocracy or laws or ideology. Part of the African countries reasoning for opposing homosexuality is the AIDS epidemic. They were affected more than anywhere else in the world.
When a sexual act results in millions dead that is a breeding ground for paranoia to set in be it through religion or simply prejudice.
I want to see examples of predominately Christian first world countries advocating the death penalty for homosexuals. Not third world examples as a red herring.
but let's be clear - aids epidemic in africa is basically nothing to do with gays, in so far as the vast majority of hiv infections occur there through heterosexual intercourse
(and also catholic church hasn't helped matters by continuing to preach against the use on condoms)
and,
now you're moving the goal posts - you said where were
christians calling for the death penalty
surely if they are christian they are christian, and derive their morality from the bible, whether in africa, asia or america?
Uganda is a legitimate example
and as blkhawk correctly posted, evangelical christians from first world countries, including the usa, were encouraging these anti-gay laws to be passed
