So let me get this straight, you are willing to enter into a 6 figure wager based upon members of the left not going for gun confiscation and this may happen four years from now or 50 years from now. I have to set up a blind trust (I would insist on this)and wait for this to unfold and if necessary, my heirs will either be notified that I entered into some wager that I either won or lost.

No, I was thinking more like picking a date 10 years from now. Say ten years to the day from the date the contract is executed. The wager would be on whether or not the 2nd amendment will have been repealed/private gun ownership banned by that day.
Yes we can designate who we want as beneficiaries in case either of us deceases before the 10 years are up.
You make a good point about parking that much money for that length of time. We could do an interest bearing trust but still our liquidity could be affected. So how about we arrive at a number that wouldn't have as much impact in that way yet still be substantive. Say maybe 20K? Or whatever number you're comfortable with.

Saying that “ you want our guns” is not equal to “ you’ll get our guns”. I’m not going to go so far off of the deep end as to move even 20 grand into a trust for an internet wager on gun control.
I’ll wager my usual $1000.00 dollars on Donald Trump’s re-election. I feel that no one on the Democrat horizon can beat him.
If you feel differently and want to accept that bet, consider it a virtual handshake.

I believe Bodie would honor the bet. I don’t believe for a moment that many others would. I already won a $1000.00 bet with someone on the board and then she wanted to bet again a week before the presidential election., when Hillary Clinton was polling about 6 points ahead.
She welshed on the first $1000.00 that I won and I figured that I’d never see the money anyway so I offered her double or nothing thinking Hillary was gonna win and to let her off of the hook. She was so sure pantsuit would win she jumped all over it.
The rest is history and she dropped off the face of the earth for about 6 months licking her wounds. If the results had been reversed, You’d be hearing how I didn’t honor my wager.

There are a number of trails I could see leading to that not happening.

Democrats will have to control both houses and the White House to attempt sweeping unconstitutional gun legislation. Then the makeup of SCOTUS plays a role. If the left were successful in both legislation and a liberal majority court, enforcement of gun laws would lead to civil war. Yes.
No way a repeal makes it through state ratification.
So in the end I guess we can agree the 2nd amendment is safe.
