TNA - at least they had the X-Division match - but they just keep on proving that they want to build their company on guys that can't move in the ring - so they have RVD - once of the greatest ring-workers around - and rather than have him wrestle someone that can actually move in the ring - they have him pin Sting in 3 seconds and then have Sting beat him with a baseball bat

Some how this is giving me good reason to not give any ratings to WCW on Monday nights. My TV was on the USA network for the entire duration of RAW. Even watched the commercials.

RVD looked good (really in shape) and the place popped HUGE for him.
1/2 the show had something to do with hogan,hogans family,hogans fat friend bubba,hogan in 2 matches,i knew it wouldn't take long before the show was about him again!plus when sting was in the ring it was almost TOO obvious he was hitting hogan and abyss,HEY WCW IT'S BEEN DONE BEFORE THINK OF SOMETHING NEW!!!:crash:
other than that i FF through most of the show (gotta love DVR!),nash= blah blah blah,hall & waltman=blah blah blah,angle & kennedy= blah blah blah,pope+beautiful people+sting walking around all over backstage=blah blah blah.

I liked it. I think it was much better than the shitfest over on Raw. At least we got some wrestling, blood, and NO DOUCHE BAG magicians.

TNA Knockouts Tag-Team Titles

-- As seen last night on TNA iMPACT!, Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky defeated the teams of Angelina Love and Tara and Sarita and Taylor Wilde in a three-way match to win the vacant TNA Knockout Tag Team Championship, after interference from Daffney. The three members of The Beautiful People will defend the titles under the "Freebird Rule," which allows any two of the three members of the team to defend the title on any given night.

-- The TNA website is now recognizing all three members of the Beautiful People as Knockout Tag Team Champions.

WWE's Chris Jericho Mocks Rob Van Dam's TNA Debut

Chris Jericho posted the following message on Twitter about last night's Monday Night War battle and RVD's TNA Wrestling debut:

Chris Jericho: "The beat down of RVD 20 seconds into his debut in TNA was mind boggling. I dont understand how so many talented people can be so clueless."

Note from TNAWrestlingNews.com: Hey Chris, you're forgetting that Rob got a clean pin on Sting before the 'beatdown'. This also sets up Sting vs. RVD in the future. It was very well done if you were to ask us.

I didn't care for it. The "match" was too quick and could have been much better. I don't consider the pin "clean" either.

Jericho sounds jealous, he would love to be in TNA.

I agree. I think Jericho's comments were ridiculous. The TNA show was much better then Raw last night. There first strike was having Criss Angel as the host. Starting the show with a 20 minute promo while the other show starts with wrestling (even if hogan and flair were in the match). strike 2. Strike 3, having the predictable,"you have to beat all these guys before u wrestle me" angle for Cena/McMahon.

I just read a report that TNA's actual rating was 0.98 and they rounded it up to 1.0. In the words of Carlito: "Now that's cool!"

Backstage Details Behind Jeff Hardy's New TNA Contract

According to ProWrestling.net, Jeff Hardy signed a new TNA contract a week ago for approximately 100 dates over the next 12 months.

Shannon Moore signed a deal with TNA soon after Hardy finalized his deal. There is some talk of using the two as a tag-team early on.

Locker Room Reaction To RVD Joining TNA Not Positive?

After months of intense negotiations, Rob Van Dam finally agreed to terms with TNA last week. Hulk Hogan of all people spoiled the surprise by noting last Thursday during a radio interview that a major star had signed on with the organization and then doing RVD's trademark pointing routine, apparently forgetting he was being filmed.

Though terms of Van Dam's contract have not been disclosed, he has made it clear he's not interested in working a full-time schedule. There is said to be much grumbling among longtime wrestlers as they perceive established stars such as Van Dam being paid big bucks without working house show dates. Furthermore, more than one wrestler noted that RVD took an unnecessary shot during a recent interview when he said he couldn't understand why people want to see him go from beating superstars such as Steve Austin and The Rock in WWE to wrestling the likes of Christopher Daniels in TNA.

Now if I go hang in there with these young guys that really aren't eve proven, I'm not sure you're going to get that same perspective and the same satisfaction out of RVD that you thought you would," Van Dam said during an appearance on the Busted Open radio show in January.

Christopher Daniels is a great wrestler.

The "superstars" RVD was "wrestling" were names and gimmicks.

Not much new on the status of Awesome Kong. She is still under contract to the company, but wasn't around for either of this week's iMPACT! tapings.

Kong has asked the company for a raise.

How much of his second stint with World Wrestling Entertainment was a "life experience" after the first time being there: "It was definitely a life experience. It was just an ongoing nightmare for me. They promise they're gonna do this with you, and they don't do it. They tell me they are gonna bring me in to feud with Shelton (Benjamin), and they don't do it. As out lives went on we had our first child & then our second child, you wanna quit, but you have to support your family. Then you'll like 'Alright if I gonna eat crap to help support my family and give my wife & kids a better life, better than I ever had, then that's what I'll do.' But eventually, you could only handle so much before you gotta walk away because you bring that misery home, and it's unhealthy. It's a unhealthy work environment, but then when you bring it home, you make it a unhealthy home environment for your family, and you can't do that. It just really feels good to be away from that. No one understands unless you've been there."

Why Shelton Benjamin, like himself, has not been used to the best of his ability during his time in the WWE: "It's either someone doesn't like him in creative or he's just too good of a wrestler, or he just makes things look too good & too easy, or it's just very political. Someone at the time doesn't want him to succeed. They have who they want to push, and he's just not one of them. And it's unfortunate, because he is probably the most God-gifted athlete in sports (pro wrestling & the WWE), but they don't want to utilize that, so it's their loss. That's why I'm begging him not to sign back. He'll probably stay for the money, but he could utilized a lot better elsewhere I'll tell you that."

Haas and Benjamin aren't the first people to say that about the atmosphere in the WWE. If they don't like you they will keep you down. Just like Hogan and Bischoff.

The Latest On the Awesome Kong saga.

Awesome Kong's profile was briefly deleted from TNA's website Friday morning but placed back a short while later.

It was reported earlier this week that Kong was telling friends within the industry that the company had agreed to release her from her contract. This coincides with her Twitter post last week where she thanked Dixie Carter and TNA Wrestling for wishing her the best in her future endeavors. We'll keep you posted.

There may be a certain date where they have agreed to part ways. We'll see. Stay tuned for more.
