The original Beautiful People — Angelina Love and Velvet Sky — will be taking part in PCW Wrestling's "Thanksgiving Turmoil" event this Saturday at the Don Preston Rec. Center Midlothian, Illinois. "The Beautiful People are the hottest thing in pro wrestling today," PCW officials said.

Report: Five TNA Wrestlers Request Releases

As seen on iMPACT! several weeks ago, TNA President Dixie Carter essentially said during her speech at the top of the hour that anyone who wasn't on board with her recent changes to the organization should find work elsewhere.

As it turns out, five wrestlers had asked for their releases from the company in recent weeks including Frankie Kazarian (a.k.a. Suicide) and Homicide — we don't have the names of the three other wrestlers. All five were turned down. AJ Styles & Christopher Daniels stepped in for Kaz and calmed the situation down as we noted several weeks ago here on the website.

Dixie Carter: TNA To Launch a New Show in January 2010

TNAwrestling.com has posted some comments made by TNA President Dixie Carter in an interview with Mike Tenay, announcing that a new show entitled "TNA Epics," will launch on SpikeTV this January. Additionally, Carter confirmed that TNA will be debuting another show as well, but that has yet to be titled. Carter said, "We are also working on another show, as well. But as far as coming up with a second show to compete with Impact, at this point, is not something we're discussing."

When news broke that Hulk Hogan has signed a deal with TNA, we exclusively reported that TNA would also be debuting some sort of new TV show, and it appears now as if those two new shows will not feature first-run content as Impact does on a weekly basis.

Breaking News: Umaga Passes Away

We can now unfortunately confirm that former WWE star Umaga (Eddie Fatu) has passed away. According to a source, he suffered a second heart attack while in the hospital. He was 36.

Details are sketchy at this point but he apparently fell asleep last night while watching television, and several hours later, his wife found him not breathing with blood coming out of his nose and he was rushed to the hospital.

The suspicion on cause of death is prescription pills, as Umaga was reportedly found bleeding from his nose and mouth when found by his wife. We obviously can't confirm that yet until toxicology reports come back in several weeks.

We're told his family was told to get into town and to the hospital right away. Family members were told they believe he suffered a heart attack. He was taken off life support earlier today.

WWE will be issuing a statement later today or this weekend.

Umaga was released from his WWE contract in June after failing WWE's Wellness Policy for the second time. At that time, he refused the company's wishes to send him to rehab. So sad. He was on the Hulkamania Tour in Australia that just concluded last weekend.

Angelina Love Returning To TNA Wrestling 'Soon'?

In an interview with the Chicago Sun Times, Angelina Love says "The Beautiful People" will soon reunite in TNA.

Here is a passage regarding this from the article: "Oh, absolutely," Love said. "Don't believe everything you hear, and don’t believe everything you read." Unless, of course, it’s in Quick Hits. "We'll definitely get on that train again," Love said. Any idea when? "It'll be soon," she said. "That's all I can say — soon." Love still stays in shape, and her former partner is active as a TNA Knockout. "Of course," Love said. "I’ve got a little bit more time, but I definitely, whenever you make a comeback or whatever — for people who haven’t seen you in a long time — you don’t want to come back looking worse. so im watching UFC TUF finale tonight and Hogan,Dixie Carter and bischoff were in the crowd.
and they announced that Jan 4th TNA is moving to Mondays to go head-to-head with RAW. and hogan has a partnership with Spike and TNA.
what kind of partnership? i guess like i posted here a few days ago he and all the old WCW guys are going to get together again and turn TNA in WCW2.

Hulk Hogan Wants His Toilet Seat Back! (Really)

Hogan wants to have a sit-down meeting with a Florida judge regarding his ex-wife Linda going through the home and stripping out all sorts of things including chandeliers, a tanning bed, a wine rack, fixtures, bathtubs, speakers, and a wooden antique toilet seat. Hogan claims that Linda left the home in such a bad state that he can no longer have his realtor show the place to potential buyers.

The Latest On TNA's 3-Hour Monday Night Special.

The live three-hour TNA iMPACT! on January 4th featuring the official TNA debut of Hulk Hogan will also be replayed that same week on Thursday from 8:00-11:00 p.m. ET on SpikeTV. That obviously means there will be no new episode of iMPACT! that week.

The original idea was for TNA to run a live two-hour show from 8:00-10:00 p.m. ET to get the one hour advantage over RAW, but they figured WWE would counter by going to USA and asking for a third hour so they went ahead with a three-hour show instead.

WWE has yet to announce a response but there is talk of them doing a 3-hour special as well.

The live iMPACT! on January 4th is a one time experiment, but if ratings do well or are significantly higher than what they are doing on Thursday nights then it would likely lead to moving to a live Monday show every week.

Even if you're not a fan TNA, you should really hope that their special does a good rating as competition is good.

Breaking News: WWE To Counter TNA's 3-Hour Special?

We don't have this confirmed just yet but we were told by a reliable source tonight that WWE may be planning to counter TNA's three-hour special on January 4th with a three-hour special of their own. That means both shows would go head-to-head from 8-11EST on January 4th. Anyone think WWE doesn't care or think about TNA? Guess again.

We'll have more on this tomorrow but again this is NOT confirmed just yet.

TNA Knockout Lacey Von Erich announced her engagement last night on her Facebook account while also acknowledging the passing of Edward "Umaga" Fatu.

"Umaga RIP, he was an awesome guy on the tour, I'm so upset he's gone," Von Erich wrote. "I just got engaged last night, so happy, bitter sweet days. He'll be missed."

Team 3D will be missing the January 4th TNA iMPACT! live special.

They are scheduled to work for New Japan at the Tokyo Dome event that day, and even with the time difference, they would not be able to make it back in time for the event.

ESPN: Test Suffered From Same Brain Issues As Benoit

*Dr. Bennet Omalu, the co-director of the Brain Injury Research Institute, told ESPN that Martin suffered from chronic traumatic encephalopathy -- stemming from repeated blows to the head. Martin is the second former wrestler to be linked to CTE after Chris Benoit.

*The amount of CTE found in both Martin and Benoit were closer to levels of Alzheimer's patients.
