WWE Wanted Sting For The 2009 Hall Of Fame?

TNA wrestler Sting's name actually came up this year regarding a possible induction into the WWE Hall of Fame.

The reigning TNA World Heavyweight Champion got support because a number of people involved in the company's creative and producing process that were asked for input were not even aware he was working for the competition.

Sting is on good terms with Vince McMahon, so the company will likely produce a DVD based on the WCW footage they own and consider him in conjunction for the Hall of Fame when his time in TNA comes to an end.

Frankie Kazarian is now expected to be back in the ring next month. It is expected that he will once again take over the Suicide character when he returns. Daniels will continue to work double duty until he makes his return.
The "TNA Knockouts" card set will be released on April 28th. There is a major plug for this on iMPACT! this week.

The TNA Sacrifice PPV will feature a four-way match for the TNA World Title.

Taz is legally allowed to work for whomever he wants whenever he wants, since his WWE contract expired--and was not terminated--he does not have a no-compete clause that would prevent him from working for the competition.

Lance Storm has written what may be his first ever positive review of TNA iMPACT after viewing Thursday's episode. "Impact was freakin great. I don't mean great "by Impact standards." I mean flat out, straight up, this was a great show,"

Maxim has an interview up with Bret Hart. Here is a highlight: "I'd never say I was better than The Dynamite *** or Curt Hennig [Mr Perfect]. But I do know I was better than Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan and a lot of the other guys. Mark Calaway [The Undertaker] was a great pro: if you had to dive over the top rope and he said he'd catch you, trust him, he'd catch you. Pro wrestling is about trust and respect."

UK Maxim interviews Brett Hart

You used to wrestle in a pink leotard. Please explain…

Originally I was a bad guy, and it made the crowds **** me even more. Then people accepted it as part of my ‘cool’ image. It wasn’t like I was tied into any gay thing. Still, looking back, maybe I should’ve switched to blue or something...

Were you the best wrestler there was?

I’d never say I was better than The Dynamite *** or Curt Hennig [Mr Perfect]. But I do know I was better than Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan and a lot of the other guys. Mark Calaway [The Undertaker] was a great pro: if you had to dive over the top rope and he said he’d catch you, trust him, he’d catch you. Pro wrestling is about trust and respect.

Did the less skilled wrestlers ever seriously injure others?

Yeah, Bill Goldberg did right at the end of my career. He kicked me in the head the way somebody might kick a crash test dummy. You’re talking big, powerful men here, a lot of them on steroids. And when these guys don’t have the skills or the understanding of the limitations of the human body, you get cases like mine. Bill’s a sweetheart, but he got pushed to the top too quick.

How stupid was the Red Rooster gimmick (Terry Taylor literally dressed as a rooster)?

Yeah, that was terrible. But if anyone deserved to be the Red Rooster it was Terry. He was such a kiss-ass to the boss, always licking Vince McMahon’s boot heels. It was a necessary evil put on him!

The Bushwackers were ridiculous too…

They were quite funny. Actually, one of them – Butch – almost died a couple of years ago with toxic poisoning. The doctors concluded the poison came from licking all those heads: he licked his partner, he licked the fans and even upset a TV host by licking her. He licked everyone’s big, sweaty heads for years and it built up inside him and almost ****** him!

Who had the most devastating finishing move?

Dynamite ***’s headbutt across the ring was very impressive. Mick Foley’s ‘Claw’, where he stuck his hand down an opponent’s throat, looked bullshit but it could really mess somebody up. And if you were lying underneath Randy Savage’s elbow off the top rope, you’d feel it. The Ultimate Warrior’s finish was awful, though – he’d lift the guy above his head and drop him on the mat, then run around about 15 times and jump on him. It didn’t make much sense to me.

Was The Ultimate Warrior as bonkers as he came across in interviews?

I’d dare say he was madder. He had a great look, but that was the only thing going for him. As far as his interviews and his wrestling style went, it was a zero in both categories.

How realistic is The Wrestler movie?

It has many true-to-life parts, but serious pro wrestlers wouldn’t hurt each other like they did. Outlawed wrestling companies may run those shows, but I’d never put a staplegun to another guy’s chest. Wrestling is an art form. To intentionally injure others defeats the purpose.

How does the story compare to the Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts docu, Beyond The Mat?

Jake’s the only one who could write a story that’s scarier, darker and uglier. He had loads of ability and charisma, but he was a victim of his own bad ways. He was a walking tragedy.

Better than Ric Flair? Goldberg kicked him too hard.

i watched TNA last night.ummm
does anyone else get disgusted that wrestlers (tna, wwe, wherever)cannot think of doing something different from the obvious routine to make their matches unpredictable?
you always know when a PEdigree is coming,or an FU,or an RKO.Taker hasn't changed his in ring routine in 15 years! neither has ALOT of guys.
the ATTITUDE era had this change when everyone didn't HAVE to get their finisher in every match.
Back to my original point from the beginning...
KEVIN NASH HAS NOT CHANGED HIS IN RING WRESTLING SKILLS since i was watching him in WCW in the 90's!!!!!!!
use robotic voice while saying the following:
put guy in corner
give him 3-7 knee lifts to mid section
step back
give him 3-7 really bad looking elbows to his neck
step back
***** him with a boot while holding the ropes for more "leverage"
step back
(announcers say that boot is even more lethal due to how big wrestler is)
get hit with a few moves from opponent
as opponent comes off of ropes from irish whip give him sidewalk slam

BORING do something different and maybe you won't get mocked on a consistent basis!

Yes, Nash does the same 6 or 7 moves in the ring, even he admits it, but idk, I'm a mark for the guy... Still, i ain't seen a good Nash match in ages!

i love Nash don't get me wrong.
but wow last night was like a time warp except it wasn't some schmuck in the ring with him it was a legitimate SHOULD BE top guy the PHENOMENAL AJ STYLES

TNA Wrestling officials have reportedly reached out to former WWE star Lance Cade about joining the promotion.

The former three-time WWE tag-team champion is apparently interested in the offer, but has to first finish up some scheduled dates in Japan.

His former tag-team partner, Trevor Murdoch, has recently debuted with TNA on iMPACT! under the name "The Outlaw Jethro Holliday" and has advanced in the current tag-team tournament the promotion has going on right now.

they are bringing back amazing red too he will be suicides partner in the team 3d tag tourney

Why is there WWE Sting action figures?

Sting has never wrestled for them.
I don't care if WCW was sold to them. (Actually I do care. I don't like that either.)

I don't like this. Not that the figures are that bad. It's that Sting has never wrestled for them and only TNA should have the right to come out with a Sting action figure.

because wwe also owns the rights to the old nwa which was known as nwa tna into they changed it to tna . but sting did wrestle under sting in the nwa as well .

but yeah i agree i think stings owns the name sting so wwe shouldnt be able to use it

I know it is late. ;)

Foley will be defending his title at Sacrifice in a four-way match.
Who do you think will be his opponents and what will they have to sacrifice?
More firings?

Team 3D will be holding a tag team invitational tournament.
The winners will receive $100,000 and a shot at the tag team titles.

Will AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels team up to win the titles?

I don't like the name change. He should keep his ring name Christopher Daniels.

Jethro Holliday aka Trevor Murdoch from the WWE debuts as a tag team partner with Eric Young.

Sojo Bolt vs Taylor Wilde ladder match for a shot at the Knockouts Championship. I didn't like the outcome. Taylor Wilde shouldn't be a jobber.
Jarret should give her a bigger push. What has Sojo Bolt done to deserve a shot? I say nothing.

AJ Styles vs Kevin Nash (AJ wins by DQ, I guess Nash believes he is above being pinned by Styles.)
Why was AJ Styles jobbed to Kevin Nash?

Scott Steiner vs Jeff Jarrett (Cactus Jack Smack ******) winner Jeff Jarret
Will this be a regular match? It looked like a regular hardcore match.

I'd like to see Steiner either team up with his ******* or Buff Bagwell and enter Team 3D's tag team tournament.

That's what I think. Sting should sue for the rights and all sales from the action figures.

Who cares?! It's a good thing for Sting fans and those are the only ones that matter.

I care because WWE would sue. The Dudley Boys can't use their names in TNA and neither can any of the other wrestlers.
Accept Mick Foley can use the Cactus Jack name. I'm tired of the trademark and copyright rules and WWE's grip on the wrestling business. Since Vince doesn't know a thing about wrestling or even the definition of the word.

i was reading tna was in contact with wwe's lance cade do i smell a redneck connection reunion in tna with him and Trevor Murdoch

Sounds good to me. I like Trevor Murdoch's new name better, Jethro Holliday.

It's good to see them coming to TNA a company that actually has a tag team division.

Did you see the part last week when Buh Buh Ray made a remark about tag team wrestling?

"We are very proud to wrestle in a company where tag team wrestling is alive and well." :D Take that WWE.

WWE own the rights to all names and profits made from what was copyrighted by WCW, ECW and NWA.

So there is a good chance Sting doesn't own the copyright to the name, but will be allowed to use it due to how long he has used the name and the fact he has always used it.
Mick is allowed to use Cactus Jack despite WWE owning the rights as he used it before he competed in an organization now owned by WWE.

The Dudleys could possibly sue to be allowed to use the name Dudley Boyz but can't be bothered with the hassle.
