i would put more stock in this if TNA was really competing with WWE, but thats not the case here, unlike WCW which put its programing head to head with WWE
I haven't watched TNA in a while, but I did watch it last night. I have one question. What the hell is going on with Sting?
:wtf:
He's the Joker now?
Why not one last run as blonde Sting from back in the day.
:dunno:
They tried that last year and the WWE crushed them, so they decided to move back to Thursday
Ted Turner was never serious about wrestling.
I respectfully disagree with you on that. Turner cared enough to open his checkbook and sign some of the top guys circa 94-96. He cared enough to give Bischoff time on Monday nights to compete with Vince. WCW had a great dominating run from 96-early 98'![]()
yea but when turner bought NWA/WCW he called vince and told him he was now in the "wrassalin business" and vince told him "good for you cause i'm in the entertainment business"

Read what Whalers90 said. Turner cares about money.
Megalomaniacs
Exactly! Turner-like everyone above ground-cares about money; so it would stand to reason he cared about wrestling (an investment).
That's not how it works.
Wrestlers who wrestled for ECW liked ECW better.
Sometimes if the company or job is good it is not about the money.
Chris Jericho
"When we were in ECW it was small, I never made more than $250 a show but you would die for that company and when you came across that way, the fans came across that way and suddenly you have this underground revolution going on and it was real, it was a revolution, people believed it was the best."
I think we can all agree that we miss the Monday Night Wars
Jay Lethal Signs With ROH
Ring of Honor management are happy to announce that they have come to terms with Jay Lethal and he is now officially under ROH contract. The former ROH Pure Champion was a part of Ring of Honor from 2003 – 2006 and in that time frame captured the ROH Pure Title, contended for the ROH Tag Titles, and battled everyone from CM Punk to Samoa Joe to Christopher Daniels.
Returning to the fold at "Best in the World 2011", Lethal defeated "The Prodigy" Mike Bennett and is now scheduled to challenge for the ROH World TV Title against champion El Generico THIS Saturday night in Chicago Ridge, IL!
"Jay Lethal is a wrestler that the ROH fans have watched grow up right in front of them." Said ROH Executive Producer Jim Cornette, "From his days with Special K to his battles over the Pure Title, Jay Lethal became a man in front of the ROH fans and now that he's back in Ring of Honor, we can all see how much of a fighter he has become. It's exciting to have him back here with us, and I for one look forward to seeing him and Generico go at it on SBG TV!"
Gail Kim To Remain Under Contract To WWE
Gail Kim, who announced last Friday on Twitter that she quit WWE four days earlier, revealed tonight on the microblogging website that they are keeping her under contract until it expires to prevent her from competing elsewhere.
She wrote, "This is the current situation 4 every1 who’s asking: I quit last mon. And apparently after a total of 5 yrs of working for a co. where I was not utilized or appreciated,I’m now 4 some reason, valuable enough 2 keep me under the remainder of my contract so I can't work elsewhere. Controlling? Thoughts?"
Kim was then asked how much longer she will be affiliated with WWE, to which she replied, "Not much longer."
The WWE are fuckin horrible!! Gail should have left a long time ago. They fucking ****** the greatest and hottest babe in wrestling!!!
she signed there knowing the history they have with handling the women performers. Gail Kim has no one to blame but herself. reverse the situation, and put TNA where WWE is and they'd do the exact same thing.
