Either way, shouldnt AIM have let out press releases of the 22 other caases so that others in the biz, cal osha and production companies and partners know and not just keep it to themselves. Whats the whole point of even having AIM, to tell you that %80 of porn stars have herpes and your going to get it too?

Unless that politician makes it a Federal law...they'll just shoot elsewhere. All they need are people, slutty clothes, and a mansion with a pool, or an empty warehouse. You can find plenty of those in almost every state, and considering how close Nevada is, less then an hours flight away. I don't know that a law like that would float, it's a huge infringement on so many levels, and it is a known hazard of the profession. This is obviously a fucked up situation, but I've read points made elsewhere, and in other threads about performers crossing from gay to straight movies, and actress's escorting, plus being married, and having open relation ships, and that, in my opinion, is what needs to be worked on. That, and a standard across the industry. The guy in 2004 was working in Brazil, I believe, if they don't conform, and we can't make them, then deny him a right to work here. Put performers under strict contracts.
I would say you are correct in the fact that some politician will try, I don't know about a Californian politician, I think they're all uber liberal Dems, and that's truly a right wing conservative move. Maybe one of the Rep. bible thumper's from the mid West. We haven't heard much from Brownback lately, maybe this will give him a break from harassing the gays.
I think the health and well being of people is more important than you not wanting to watch porn where condoms are being used.
It should be a choice that is made by the performers. Not by politicians. I'm all for people staying safe. And people can do that without using condoms in porn. It's all about who these people choose to work with. Doing a scene with your boyfriend or husband for instance, would be safer than doing a scene with a male performer who also does gay porn and tranny flicks. It's a calculated risk. Sex always is.
I heard one of the stars rumored to have it is Flower Tucci.
Problem with that rumor. The current chick that is the focus of this latest testing is a relative newcomer in her forties. Flower Tucci fits neither of those descriptions. Also the sixteen or twenty-two cases since whatever date is being used are of people no longer in the biz. Flower is still in the biz.
It probably is someone unknown. I read an article that said that AIM does not release the name of the performer anymore, unless they believe they will risk spreading the disease.
It's supposedly a 42 year old female performer with a 3-letter name. (Got that info on lukeisback.com)

AIM Health care is the only "authorized" center in porn valley that administers HIV tests for all of it's performers. The controversy with AIM is that they don't screen for all types of STD's including Hepatitis, which is the reason why so many people within the industry oppose them. A recent news release stated that since 2004, an additional 16 HIV cases associated with the Porn industry were "not" disclosed from AIM.

Why isnt AIM protecting the talent? As soon as a positive performer pops up they should let the industry know about it and not just some state working behind an office in sacramento. They should let the industry know because a lot of the guys that are at the top of the game today started out at gay performers. I really hope AIM does some restructuing after this, not just putting band aids on these stupid procedures that they have right now.
one more reason i really like wicked pictures... u rarely see them having sex without condoms! hope some other (great) productions will follow
