I said it before I will say it again. Porn makes billions a year so even if a tiny amount of that is given to research to find and develop a vaccine or cure for HIV along with all STDs will give the industry a good image. Also change the rules in porn even more to in order to decrease the chance of infection and spreading of these diseases. Just wait for some conspiracy theories like the anti-porn groups are stooping to the level of infecting porn stars with HIV in order to try to get porn banned though I would put it past them since they will do anything and I mean anything to get rid of porn.

While it would be in their interests and I don't know what if anything the "industry" may or may not be doing....I will say you're expecting ethics from from an industry that is almost void of it.
I agree with you in the sense that the industry could be helping allot in terms of finding a vaccine for HIV.
Good idea, but unlikely to ever happen in my opinion. The amount of coordination necessary, I fear, is more than the industry can muster.
I've always seen the industry, at least from the view of the content providers, as being quite cutthroat. Am I wrong?

I'm aware of that, but according to many industry sources, Sharon Mitchell has a monopoly with all of the big talent agencies and production companies that stipulate the "AIM Test" as the only valid test for permission to work. Those talent agencies will only send their talent to get tested at AIM, and a lot of production companies will only accept medical results from AIM. That sounds like a monopoly to me.
