This World Cup is not the same now without Brazil

Its been a great tournament but as always without Brazil, there is no such thing as world cup. Brazil IS the world cup. Now that stupid France defeated them, the semi-final and final won't be the same. In other words, we are only going to witness shitty football now. France and Italy play probably the most boring football ever as they are specialists in defence only, espcially Italy. They hardly score goals. Its sick to watch.

France outclassed them in the quarter-final, Brazil got owned and they deserve to go home just as much as France deserve to be in the semi final.

That's the worst, underestimating your opponent. I think the entire world underestimated France, we knew they had potential and it seems like they just needed some time to connect together and make it work.

yeah but the thing is, Brazil didn't even play any warm up matches ahead of this World Cup. They only played like 1. I think they went into this tournament over confident, thinking they could win it just like that. Too much emphasis was on individuals rather than team and thats why they lost.

They didnt play real matches, they played small teams as training, like when your first team plays the reserves to raise moral.
They butchered Lucerne (from Swiss second division) 8-0 and beat New Zealand (which was supposed to be practice for Australia) 4-0.

There is no way you can say France are the "most boring football team ever". Their quality of moves and passing at times were brilliant. To be honest, looking back at France and Brazil and comparing their 2 previous matches, I would have chosen to watch France any day.
True that Italy are not the most attractive team in footballing terms to watch but I have a feeling they are going to lose out to Germany's home advantage and it will be a Germany - France final.

I noticed that most of the big teams played poorly, perhaps because they were too scared to lose so they didn't dare much, and the best games were by the smaller teams, the underdogs. Too bad not many underdogs made a surprise and knocked out a big team (France being the only one).

Personally I think this world cup has been the worst one in my lifetime. No I'm not blaming the teams, as there is some real quality on show. I blame FIFA and all the silly rules they've implied, as the games never seem to get going. As just as they look like it going to really take off the ref becomes whistle happy, blowing for fouls all over. Most of them aren't even fouls, also the half booking theres been are a joke. This is all down to FIFA and I hope this the future of football because it's a farce.

We had 16 yellows and 4 reds in a match that nothing much happened in. The one thing that did deserve a red card, a head butt by Figo got nothing.

Anyways, yes brazil did not play well, infact they stunk.

I think the biggest problem was with the manager parreira. He did not allow them to play the brazilian way, he was afraid to bench his star players and he seemed only concerned with the technical and tactical aspects of the game. Look at the Japan game for instance, the likes of cicinho, gilberto, juninho and robinho started. What did we see? The free flowing, creative football in what could have easily been a 7-1 scoreline, basically the type of football everyone expected from them, the type of football that has got them 5 world cup crowns.

Yet parreira decided to turn a blind eye and stick with his original starting 11, the same 11 that was slow, lazy and incompetent. Im not saying he was the sole reason but it was a big factor.

Im a big brazil fan but in the end i wasnt dissappointed. They didnt deserve to go any further with the kind of football they were playing.

Aslong as parreira doesnt come back in 4 years, there shouldnt be much to worry about for brazilian fans.
