Miss FO is a glorified popularity contest. It's basically a prom queen election for people who didn't get enough of this shit in high school. And though it baffles me as to why, Miss Hybrid is pretty popular around here with some of the regular members. Couple that with the increased voting power for members... and there you go. It's not difficult to figure out why she won.

What I don't understand is why you would create a bitch thread about a topic that does not affect you. Why do you give a fuck who won? You're not getting a cut of any of the winnings.

what disappointed me this year is that it was basically an OCSM competition.
some girls that aren't OCSM but who made amazing porn scene throughout the year had no chance to win

although winning would have rised odds of them joining the board...

the answer is pretty simple 99% of the member have voted ONLY for ocsm.
the only two cathegories that pornstar wins (best newcomer and milf) was because no ocsm was in
companies like jules jordan paid sponsors (because miss freeones come famous) but obviously theses ocsm will never work with them.
so it's the last miss freeones contest (they won't lost their money next year)

No, it wouldn't. Of all of the previous winners, only Vicky Vette ever posted/posts ...

Not one of the other winners have joined the board and become regular posters.
Miss Hybrid won because she put a lot of work in year round and over the 4 years that she has been around (5 competitions) she has boosted her popularity with the board members by being continuously active here.
The reason that the board members had more voting power this year than previous years is that we members have been bitching that our OCSMs do not get a chance over the stars signed by the big companies. This year we won it (by a mere 6 votes) - yes, I said we, and by that I mean the board members, so that this year we have a true Miss FreeOnes, someone who actually represents the brand and not someone that usually has nothing to do with the board.
This competition now gives a chance for previously little known models to make a bigger name for themselves in the industry and possibly even make a reasonable living from it without having to kowtow to the industry giants. How can this be a bad thing when one company is looking to make the entire industry a monopoly?
Look at the Twisty's competition this year and the massive controversy over 2nd place. This year FreeOnes ran a clean competition and the fact that an industry outsider won instead of a corporate name is proof of this.
I take my hat off to FreeOnes especially Petra and the team.
This win was not just a win for Miss Hybrid, it was a win for all of the independents out there trying to make it and FreeOnes really should make the most of this and not just let it slip by without a mention in the industry media.
