The TV Series Thread

Just getting on the "V" bandwagon. Not something I want to do but I can't take my eyes off of this pretty thing...

I think she looks hotter with the short hair on V than she did with the long hair on Firefly.

Is there any point in watching Heroes unless Hayden P. is in it?

I love Heroes and watch it every season but half the time I don't think they know where they're going with show. They keep repeating some stuff, not resolving others and I think they're running out of X-Men comics to copy.

I think the 2 best TV series are Castle and Burn Notice. They deliver "the goods" each week. Neither one is going to threaten Shakespeare's claim to the throne of high literary culture, but each show makes watching TV dramas fun.

I am still a co-dependent viewer of "Lost." I will be sad when "Lost" is done, but it's time to end it. :o

Flashforward and V both have a lot of potential....but neither look like solid A-level shows at the moment....

Rey C.

Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.
Breaking Bad is back, on AMC. But the hot gf is dead. Pfft.

Breaking Bad is one of the best TV series I've ever seen. And yeah, I was also sad to see my favorite goth girl, Jane, do a Jimi Hendrix. But that scene set us up to see that Walt does indeed have a dark side, especially when the deed makes "practical" sense.

Once Lost goes off, I'd like to have another series that interests me enough to keep up with it (besides Mad Men and Breaking Bad, I mean). But most entertainment TV doesn't do anything for me these days, so I'm content to watch History International and the History Channel. I was hoping that Caprica would be good, but it's dragging along so far. If nothing good comes on this summer, I have at least ten books that I could/should be reading.

That scene also was necessary to tie the ending together, as it was the starting point that set off the chain of events eventually leading to the plane crash at the end of the first season, too.

Breaking Bad is really the only television I watch that isn't sports. I can't get enough of it. Can't wait to see how this season unfolds. Been a bit slow the first 2 episodes so far. I've been patiently waiting for the meth cooking and killing to start back up, but I guess a little plot development can't hurt.

Nothing in the OP jumpedout except Sons of Anarchy

WHAT? Well I guess each to thier own.... But she looked so much better on Firefly. With that bit of extra weight and the long curly hair. Awesome.

Did she show off her boobage on Firefly? I think she showed a little in the Firefly movie :dunno:

I think she's stunningly hot with this short haircut...

Got some news. Several broadcasters announced their "line-ups" for this summer.

USA Network announced some days ago, that Burn Notice and Royal Pains will start on June 3rd, as I posted already.

On ABC Family, Pretty Little Liars (allegedly something along the lines of "Jawbreaker" meets "I Know What You Did Last Summer" meets "Veronica Mars") will start June 8th and Huge (a series about the impact of being "huge" on the life of "huge kids") will start June 28th.

SyFy moved up some of their starting dates, which means the new season Warehouse 13 will premiere July 6th. The new season Eureka and the first season Haven (based on the Stephen King book "The Colorado Kid") will start July 9th.

TNT will air its new season Leverage starting June 20th. Two days later, on June 22nd, will start the new season of HawthoRNe, directly followed by the new series Memphis Beat (with Jason "Earl" Lee as a Memphis cop who just loves his hometown). The start date for Dark Blue has been pushed back to August.

Fox announced Fringe will be back for a 3rd season. Woop Woop!!! The 2nd season starts back up with episode 16 April 1st. After the bomb they dropped on us in February, I can't wait to see what happens.

Two of my favorite shows that's on television right now.

Smallville has been surprisingly good this year, and for the first time in a few years,I'm actually not wishing that this is the final season of the show.

Since I've missed the last 2 episodes of House due to work, could someone tell me if Cameron has returned, or if they're really getting rid of her? Her name still appears in the opening credits, but she hasn't been on since Chase confessed back in December. :helpme:

Write to ABC and tell them to bring back "Better Off Ted", a WAY better show and better written show than either the lame "Office" or SUPER lame "Parks and Rec".

I also watch Chuck, Big Bang Theory (Which is starting to slide into hell), Mythbusters, and porn.

Nope, she hasn't returned and the plan is actually to write her out of the show permanently and to take her out of the opening credits for the next season. During the time in which the episodes you missed were shot she was off acting in a play. In case you're not a fan of spoilers in that direction, don't read the next part. Spoiler She will return in the episode which Hugh Laurie directed (one of the next episodes), but only to give her departure from the show a ...how to call it... "round and logical finale". They offered her a guest starring contract however, which would give her the opportunity for a couple of guest stints in the next season. End Spoiler

Real shame that "Better Off Ted" was cancelled. I liked it a lot. Even though Germans were once again portrayed strangely. I know it is a comedy, but still, with most jokes I didn't see where and how they were supposed to be funny. When will American writers and producers understand, that you should hire someone who can actually speak German if you want German dialogue? They managed to get the Japanese parts right, why not German? I mean, how hard can it be to look up the word "Stadtrundfahrt" (city/sightseeing tour)?
You really find "Parks and Recreation" lame? Too bad. I think it's rather hilarious. Amy Poehler is genius, can't do anything wrong with her.
And yes, Mythbusters rocks.

I just read, that Vince Gilligan presented AMC plans for at least a complete fourth season of Breaking Bad. Let's hope he gets the AMC officials responsible interested.
