People look at economic results and in many other aspects, sorry to disappoint you he did and does a far much better job than Obama ever did. Lowest unemployment rate for black, hispanics, asians and women. Obama tried to implement socialism but has failed. Having been several times in the USA and having some relatives there as well as some long time friends living there, I can tell you one thing for sure which is that America will never ever be a socialist country. America so far is doing very well and perhaps much better than the whole batch of the European countries. We will probably never agree in terms of politics but that is life.

I think where President Trump had a tangible impact and helped the US economy perform better than under President Obama is in deregulation. Specifically under some of the executive orders, like Debarment of Labor increased regulations where President Obama was increasing requirements for reporting and options in the financial sector. In many cases, this was restricting business mobility and was costing companies millions of dollars to become compliant. By eliminating these regulations, there was an immediate bump to the business.
Some of the economic numbers are no doubt tied to the optimism that comes from deregulation and decrease in taxes. It does get complex and I think we are still int he middle of it.

I'm not of the school that President Obama is responsible for the turn around in the economy, other than providing stability. His numbers to a large degree would happen naturally. Same goes for President Trump. His positive move to promote business is the eliminate restrictions. Not cutting expenses while reducing taxes may have a negative impact. I think he is lucky if he doesn't feel the pain from that.
