I like how the members with their high post counts rag on a person for being a troll. Yet, have you noticed the rush of "newer" members now posting in here with their "troll" accounts, who joined back in 2010 and earlier, with extremely low post counts??? For example, the one above me has a whopping 39 posts. Yet all of a sudden he pipes up and starts ragging on the OP?

Come on people. It's the internet. Who HASN'T made one or more accounts no matter which message board on the internet you've participated in?

Nope. Can't say that I've ever even thought about creating multiple accounts on a message board. What do you get out of that? :dunno:

I guess this is just another sign of why I'll never be one of the cool kids: I don't know any fart jokes, I can't touch the tip of my nose with my tongue... and I don't have multiple accounts on the porn board.

We all had to make one account or we wouldn't be here. The question properly asked would be, "who hasn't made more than one account"? And the answer would properly be, anyone that's not fucked in the head doesn't need more than one account. Nope. In fact, I've NEVER, EVER, had a Troll account in here. I played by the rules and started with my first account (which I don't remember the name) and I switched to Jack "24" Bauer, (with staff permission) and then I asked the staff in here if I could change it to my real name - Sam Fisher.

I did once over at Cracked. Their system wouldn't let me change the email associated with the account even though that email had been compromised, so I created one of their newer Facebook-linked accounts. But I did a message to one of the editors, they didn't have a problem with it. Other than that, clearly the only thing you need a second account for is trolling, be it either to escape real punishment, or to sock-puppet.

As someone who makes their living online, I always considered trolls to be people who purposefully make remarks in the hopes of eliciting strong emotional responses.
Regardless of whether or not the troll actually agrees with anything they are saying.

Right. And I would say suggesting somebody commit suicide, death threats, and threats of physical violence are purposely made remarks with the intention to elicit strong emotional responses.
