I plead the 5th...
I. Thou shalt talk about Christian principles, but not live by them.

II. Thou shalt attack opponents personally when you can't win on policies.

III. Thou shalt call yourself pro-life, but be in favor of the death penalty.

IV. Thou shalt call yourself pro-life, and put guns in the hands of school
children.

V. Thou shalt give lip service to democracy while taking away civil
liberties.

VI. Profit is the Lord Thy God, thou shalt not put the people's interest
above those of your corporate contributors.

VII. Thou shalt make sure fetuses have health coverage, but leave children
and babies behind.

VIII. Thou shalt bear false witness against your opponents and liberals, and
demonize them.

IX. Thou shalt run on a moderate platform, then enact right-wing policies as
soon as possible.

X. Thou shalt call the media liberal, so that people forget that the media
is owned by corporations with a conservative fiscal agenda

Quoted for truth.

Love the post.

Probably not the worst time in American politics, but I'm sure this time makes the list.
I think anyone who is happy with their party at the moment is a bit blind.
I'm fairy vocal in the westchester dems, but we're outnumbered here any way.

This just got bucko up there removed from my ignore list.

That's fine, cockboy. You've been on my ignore list for a couple months. I got tired of seeing bifurcated cocks and chicks with dicks in threads I started. Plus, you're smelly and have a micro penis.

I. Thou shalt talk about tolerance unless someone disagrees with you.

II. Thou shalt attack opponents personally when you can't win on policies.
Especially if a woman is a candidate for national office and she has the gall
to not be a liberal democrat.

III. Willie Horton (I'm not really up to taking this seriously)

IV. Thou shalt call yourself pro-choice. That's about it, really.

V. Thou shalt give lip service to democracy while taking away civil
liberties. (Obama okayed the Patriot Act)

VI. Profit is the Lord Thy God, thou shalt not put the people's interest
above those of your corporate contributors. (Obama and the DNC raised
54 million dollars for his election in one month. That sounds like money is
kind of important to them, too.)

VII. Thou shalt appeal to the lowest common denominator and make sure
the race card is played at every opportunity.

VIII. Thou shalt bear false witness against your opponents and
demonize them. (That didn't need too much tweaking.)

IX. Thou shalt run on a moderate platform, then enact Socialist policies as
soon as possible.

X. Thou shalt call the media conservative even though only one or two outlets
openly profess to be that.

Best...response...EVER. Rep x 1000.

As if the libs' shit don't stink. Frankly, they both stink.

I feel sadly amused when Republicans feel so strongly about their feelings about “the sanctity of life” and don't like abortion because of that for example,...and yet for some reason they don't give a damn about anybody after they are actually born.

It’s quite bewildering and hypocritical.

I've seen (and known) quite a few Evangelical Christians who vote republican who go out with bags of groceries regularly to the "needy" and donate handsomely out of their own pocket and do a lot of other shit as well. Are they hypocritical as well?

Yeah, in my experience most of them do what amounts to thrown a bone at the poor ever so often, more because it makes them feel like they can pat themselves on the back and delude themselves into believing they are good people than anything else. They seem to be the type of people that really like a good self back patting.

Hmmm...lets see, on a fundamental level the majority of them either actively, or passively through supporting people that do, decimate the quality of life of those below them for selfish gain. They support things that make getting health care (a human right) hard and unaffordable for the poor, they support things that make it hard and unaffordable to get a good education, the support measures and back businesses to a ridicules extent that pretty much need to use exploitation to function and it's shaped our society for the worse that way because of their true religion (capitalism) tells them it will somehow work out for everybody. They are highly manipulative and like telling (and making) others do what they think is good for them even when they want to control don't hurt anybody else. They don't mind if some people use their influence and eliteness to use said exploitation to live richer than God all the while they living blocks away from people barely making it because of them and people like them. They think any restraints that give people job security or better insurance of making a decent wage are an act against nature (again that greed as control of others as their actual religion instead of the belief of worshiping the force of good in the universe).

...but hey once in a while they give somebody a bag of food.

I know, maybe when they do they can come out and say, "Hey, I know I've been part of the problem in our society. Hey, I know we only pretend to give a damn about you and lets be frank I'm a big part of the problem why you are in a bad position and need to be given help in the first place, even though that religion I pretend to follow tells me not to do stuff like that. Sorry about trying to control your life. Sorry, about destroying your very quality of life...but geez here's your bag a food. It will make up the tiniest fraction of the damage people like me have done. We're good now right...right? Isn't it a good thing we are good people? Come on give me a fist bump. How about a high five? Can you tell that reporter over there covering this story how great and generous we are, because you are just ungrateful if you don't? Come on, why are you walking away from me…?"

If they really had the courage of their convictions, and mean really truly had that they would realize that they should love their fellow humans, yes deep down love them, and be willing to make REAL sacrifices that our society can reasonably give to make their lives better if nothing but for that reason. They don't want to do that. They got theirs and don't want to give that up. Doing things like they do, really like I said throwing some people a bone every once in a while, allows them an excuse, a rationalization, not to do that because they don't want to do it. So consider me unimpressed when those evangelical "Christians" go out and give a little away considering all the other things they do.

What a total crock of shit post D-Rock, with all due respect. I am sure there are those people but I'll be damned if I haven't seen them do a lot more than "give a bag of goods." (I did say they DONATE HANDSOMELY in my last last post, if you'll recall). Eat up all that shit the MSM feeds you. But don't shit it out on me and expect me to clean it up.

Don't try to shove all this shit down my throat, son. I was a kid with my parents at the Mission, doing more shit than you've probably ever done in your entire life to help the needy. But whatdoIknow...

Hell I personally am on record on what can and will do if I come into funds, so please do not dare criticize me. Your ideals are misguided. I know addicts, because I am one. It's a big effin game, bro. I've been in places you haven't been, I'm sure. And they eat that "free" shit up, at least where I am at.

I think where you are at is a totally different place, but I don't know where you are from (maybe you saw all this bullshit you bash on TV. Not me son, I lived it).

...I think a better response would have been simply that anecdotal evidence is pretty much meaningless. There are, of course, people just as Bloodshot has described. They exist, of course. Some are certainly better people than me.

I do not feel they are anywhere near a majority or representative of the party they're voting for, in this case, however. To counter with my own useless anecdotal evidence, for every person like Bloodshot has described, I've met three to four Republican voters who are more concerned with making sure gay people can't marry or making sure abortion doctors "get theirs" for their "crimes" (note: I haven't met any that actually did anything and I'm not implying there are that many. But certainly a few that share the sentiment).

Now let's see who replies with a bifurcation fallacy...

Thank you for the post.

The above highlighted isn't even a consideration (mostly) at homeless shelters, but there are counselors for that sort of stuff. They are not barbarians; if you are human, they will take care of you, but again, this may be just a local thing (unlike where I think D-Rock is from).

Agreed! That wraps it up nicely. Though there is the "Thou shalt not kill, but thou shall try to eradicate all _____ (fill in the blank with description of marginalized population)"

Ace, thanks for the rep. You are right, not ONE liberal here has tried to even tackle your post, and they are so fucking hypocritical it makes me sick to my stomach. It makes me actually hate these pieces of shit. I have liberals in my family and I honestly would vote for a liberal if their policies are sound, but they are the most hypocritical pieces of dry shit that you can ever imagine. I just can't stand it. :bang:

Its all good, he's just trying to adhere to the Ten Liberal Commandments. Commandment VIII clearly states: Thou shalt bear false witness against your opponents and demonize them.

Can't fault the guy for toeing the party line.

I think you forgot a few:

- Thou shalt have no other gods before the environment.
- Thou shalt not kill except for convenience and sex.
- Thou shalt covet thy neighbor's house, thy neighbor's car, and thy neighbor's spouse. For thy neighbor hath gotten all of his goods and success by oppressing the poor. Thy covetousness shalt drive thy politics.
