I believe he's referring to the 84% used in the article you posted. Since 4 out of 5 would be 80%, it would be within the margin of error of the 84%. Not sure why he didn't use 5 out of 6 which would be closer to 84%.

If I was conspiratorial, I'd probably connect the dots between them and exactly why they are supported and not disabled. You wouldn't do that to yourself.

Another telling thing about Republicans is that they are even willing to vote against things that not only do the majority of Americans want they will near unanimously vote against things even the plurality if not outright majority of Republicans voters want. i.e. single payer universal health care, a $15/hour minimum wage, and taxing the rich significantly more for example. It's almost always on issues that will actually help near everybody at large. It's not like a few holdouts voting against the people that put them in place, but damn near every single Republican.

I find it laughable Republicans in office are talking bs about economic populism when things like that are happening, and I find it just as laughable their base ever thought Trump was ever within a mile of economic populism. At least a large portion of people voting for democrats as a whole have a more realistic outlook on the actual nature of the **** poor Democrats in the party and are willing to call out their fake tripe when they spew it, even if voting for some of them as the lesser of two evils.

The jabbing aside, I found value in this thread. The Dixiecrats failed in the Democratic party and when Premium Link Upgrade , helped Nixon win in 1964. The conventional wisdom is that when the Dixiecrats switched, the Democrats solely held the Civil Rights banner and Premium Link Upgrade . The shift probably started earlier during FDR's administration and I don't think you'd classify him as a Civil Right advocate, but Premium Link Upgrade .

While the Democrats started to have the moniker of "Civil Rights Activists", Premium Link Upgrade Only one of the 21 Dixiecrats that opposed the act moved to the Republican party The rest, including Al Gore, Sr. died in place.

I think it is complex and from an opinion standpoint, I think the Republicans are a problem. The Southern strategy that was so successful in 1980 was to win an election. Trump did condemn White Supremacists. His condemnation is often ignored. To say he didn't condemn it is factually incorrect, however, I tend to agree with the emotion. It should be vehemently condemned. My guess is he didn't because it really isn't something he focuses on. It is one of his many lost leadership opportunities.

I think this thread is thought provoking and for the moment, I was just looking at race. The real issue isn't about the Dixiecrats, but about the Premium Link Upgrade , which is an oversimplification to tie them together. However, there are people voicing valid opinions that there is s Premium Link Upgrade .

Purely my opinion, but do I think the Republican Party is the problem? Yes. I also think the Democratic Party is the problem. I think the bigger sin is those who devote blind love or disdain for either and allow that to be there focus. Unless you're going to get fully active in the political system, your greatest contribution will be your vote. The more we understand and the more we know to hold the people we vote accountable, the greater the contribution.
