Phillypert, Actually my post was very relevent to the topic even if some parts in it were not that much necessary to mention. Your post seems to define yourself much better than me. You should take a look at mirror and also ask yourself what is "forum" actually? Also poster of this thread did himself question whatever it's morally right to celebrate this event refering to it as religious people only privilege in his second post.
Yes, Rattrap got exactly what I mean. Many events have been adopted from different cultures and many events have changed withn cultures from their original meaning and are not necessary celebrated at all with same meaning what they might have been in the past. If we were to compare for example typical Finnish Christmas table, there is pretty much only one and only food in it that can be considered of actually originally even being Finnish invention. Pretty much everything else in Xmas table comes and has been adopted from other countries and their traditions withn time. Funnily enough only "Finnish" food in typical Finnish christmas table can be considered least favorable and worst tasting of them all.
