Ohhhh yeah! Spa like we all love it!

Rain/Shine -Wet Tires / Intermediates / Slicks - More or less Wings

A LOT of tactical options that can blow up in your face and at any given time, drivers can hit a wet spot and go off track like you would not believe.

So my prayers were heard, obviously:

1. Hamilton
2. Webber
3. Kubica

Okay I do not care much about Kubica, but I feel good about Vettel getting his receipt for his sneaky ways. Sorry dude, you just get the Karma payback you called for :1orglaugh

Awesome racing today!!!

Spleen

Banned?
BBC - red button - Onboard cam. Watching the entire race through the eyes of the drivers makes it a totally different experience, I looove it.

I was luckily enough to see the Kuala Lumpur F1 when I was in Malaysia, was a hell of a race. The noise the cars make it's unholy! I was sitting right on the corner where Hamilton overtook about 4 times, so had a great view. Not bad for 100RM (20 quid!). Got to see Fatboy Slim/Wyclef Jean play at the aftershow party as well :D

Just a shame Jenson had to suffer for it though. A drive through penalty seems to be pretty lenient.

It seems that Vettel was really over-eager to get past Button in that corner - he has 1 m roadspace to do that, and, well he must have forgot about the actual size of his racecar.

Or he wanted to push him out of the race.

Can it be that he kind of flips out in tight situations? It is becoming a strange stream of freak events with him in them.

Vettel is like a *young bull * ...That guy has to learn, but he´s still an excellent racer .

I believe you are right. He reminds me of Michael Schumacher in his younger days - he did a lot of really super sggressive actions and later, as a constant champion, peopel seemd to forget that he played it dirty so many times.

Yes, sometimes people forget that the Schumacher that we see now (taking out Massa and trying to take out Barrichello) is the same one we've always seen... only now minus the winning.

Vettel has the blinding speed but he does need to work on his race craft and his maturity, IMO. Like when his car was wounded earlier in the season and he asked his team who had the fastest lap. Uh, young dude... your car is hanging on for dear life and you're thinking about going for the fastest lap of the race??? :surprise:

As for the Belgian GP... how 'bout that Lewis Hamilton, ladies & gents? Yeah, baby!!! :nanner:

Lewis has matured. Kept a clear head, especially after nearly putting it in the wall towards the end.

When he went off tack and almost kissed the wall, I was on the floor. When he told the team that it was getting bad out there, they should have taken his word for it and brought him in.

But yes, he really has matured over the past couple of seasons. I was worried that breaking away from his dad would be bad for him. But maybe it was his way of leaving the nest and becoming his own man. He should be working on his 3rd WDC this season - had it in the bag in year 1. But I really hope he pulls it out this year. I figure Alonso is all but done for now :)clap:). And I can live with anyone else winning. But I do hope that Lewis takes it in the end. Come on, kid! :nanner:

Well, I´m german, but I don´t want Vettel to win the championship ( not yet ) , cause in my eyes there still has to be done something. He needs to get more stabil. Vice-champ, ...YES, but not champ yet.

Lewis deserves it , Webber too .

Alonso ? Who da fuck is Alonso ?? ..... Stick a phallix-dildo into his azz and make him whiney ...:D:D ...or give him a spanish guitar or whatever ...:angels:

Four races to go, and Suzuka is coming along, just some 10 hours or something to go

And another thriller! Flooded track, qualifying postponed till the morning hours on sunday, the race in the afternoon.

The drivers like the track, as it allows for some quality racing, not one of those tracks where you are fucked if you don't get in front in the start.

I am a bit fucked, as the race starts at 8:00 in the morning

Ah hell, a fan must make allowances :2 cents:

I was up for qualifying (2am UK time) went back to sleep and awoke again for the start (7am UK time).
Good race. Felt sorry for Hamilton who was doing really well until 3rd gear said goodbye. Had he not had to change the gearbox in the first place he may well have been challenging for 3rd at least. Kobayashi had a great drive - some superb overtaking - to me "man of the race" even though he only finished 7th.

I think we can expect some great things from Kobayashi next year. Especially when his car gets more improvements.

I really kind of feel sorry for Hamilton. He's had a shitty second half of the season. He crashes his car during practice and then has to replace his gearbox. Now it has to be replaced again for the next race so that's another 5 place penalty. Yea...poor guy.

Kamui Kobayashi has got to be one of the most exciting drivers to come along in years. The guy is truly lightning in a bottle. Was he amazing at Suzuka or what?! I hope Sauber keeps him and builds a better car next year so he can run closer to the front and hassle this year's heavy hitters.

It doesn't look good for Hamilton this year. Too much bad luck and too many dodgy moves that ended in tears. I'm about set to go into ABA Mode (Anybody But Alonso). Webber is a good dude. I wouldn't be upset if he took it. He's paid his dues and as Luis said, this is probably his last real shot.

I don't care if Alonso paid his dues...he's a whiney ass bitch that can't just suck it up and take his knocks like a man. Yea, I still haven't forgiven him for making Massa get out of the way in Germany.

Personally, while I'd have loved to see the McLaren's take both championships, I don't mind seeing the RedBulls taking it. They're plain good and there's no argueing that their cars are fast. Vettle and Webber may not be the great friends and teammates that Hamilton and Button are, but they're still worthy.

Seems fair, and the Red Bulls have been excellent and consistent this season, they probably deserve it. Webber would be my preference. Anyone but Alonso and the Ferraris.

Okay, next race is in South Korea

http://www.formula1.com/races/in_detail/korea_840/

Another breakfast event for me, 8:00 in the morning.

Driver standings:

01 Mark Webber 220
02 Fernando Alonso 206
03 Sebastian Vettel 206
04 Lewis Hamilton 192
05 Jenson Button 189
06 Felipe Massa 128
07 Nico Rosberg 122
08 Robert Kubica 114
09 Michael Schumacher 54
10 Adrian Sutil 47
11 Rubens Barrichello 41
12 Kamui Kobayashi 27
13 Vitaly Petrov 19
14 Nico Hulkenberg 17
15 Vitantonio Liuzzi 13

Wow, Vettel and Alonso both on second place that makes for some prime-grade drama on track. I believe it is safe to predict that there will be some guys going off the tar :2 cents:

Anyone else wants the two of them take out each other and Hamilton to take their slot?
