Most of his stuff is on NetFlix Instant Watch now... but ItK: Episode Zero is unavailable for some reason.
I don't have NetFlix. I buy my stuff any way. Best Buy has a 4 in 1 Miike Takashi DVD for $15. Not too shabby.
Have you seen Crows Episode Zero 1, now that was a good Miike film, I am still waiting for part 2 to come out though.
Not bad. The thing with Miike is that he's all over the place. There's Troma-esque schlock like Fudoh or Full Metal Gokudo and then there's beautiful, epic films like Bird People of China. Then there's the fucked up Ichi, Gozu, VisQ stuff.
Zebraman and Sukiyaki Western Django are pure fun and Happiness of the Katakuris is the only musical I'll ever watch.

I am going to get Audition, too. I love his stuff. Funny how he can make one film about the craziest shit you can imagine and then make a child's film.
Ha. After I showed my girlfriend HotK and Bird People, she couldn't wait to go through more of my Miike collection. She fell in love with those movies. And then she watched VisQ and cried (in a bad way) and Gozu (which she nearly couldn't finish).

She loved The Great Yokai War (which is like Labyrinth meets Spirited Away meets The Mighty Morphing Power Rangers on crack) but now proceeds with caution when it comes to Miike films.
However, she still has a schoolgirl crush on Takeshi Kitano, but then again, so do I. :o
Also, not a Miike film, but great, fun, weird Japanese goodness!
