It's a (belated) wedding gift.

This is the largest statue I've made so far (just shy of 7 feet) and it took me 3 months. It's a hobby and I only work on stuff like this in the evening and weekends.

I have actually. A few years ago I carved an Indian out of a 80 year old oak log. Someone watched me as I put a coat of oil on it and he said he just had to have it. I sold it to him for 600 dollars.
