you know I have a medical condition that requires medication that causes weight gain yet you take your cheap shots at me. I pay health insurance and my medical care. I'm not on assistance so taking a shot like that is pretty fucking low.

when you get in a situation where you question yourself simply ask "what would Jesus do"

So when the health care debate comes up that's what you should ask yourself. Would jesus ignore people who cannot afford medicine and a doctor? would he ignore the people who are hungry and cannot eat? would he want people to be discriminated against based on who they love or are attracted to and are not harming anyone? Would jesus want the government to put the interest of big business before the interests of the people? how about his view on 1 in 5 people not having access to clean water? what about 1 in 9 american kids not knowing where there next meal will come from?

All things that the republicans talk shit and call people "bleeding heart liberals" over. but all very valid questions for senor hey-sous

But I'm sure that's different. That isn't relevant to the what would jesus do theory.

This issue relates to America so I'm biased to say anything, but I think that this situation is due to the fact that the majority of Americans want the system to work the way it works now.

Well they can want it to work all they wish, but it isnt working and we spend more on health care now than anyone yet we're ranked #37 in the world. 700,000 people in the US file for bankruptcy every year due to medical debt.
the people who don't want it to change are the ones who don't need medical care. that is hardly the majority. Costs are going up constantly and wages are staying flat. the richest are getting richer, and the poor are staying poor.

I just cannot get my head around a group of people who's very existence is all about god and religion yet they turn their backs on starving and sick people and pretend they aren't there. All the while talking about "what would jesus do" and as BC said "I need to be more christ like" lol

Something has to change.
