Christ was a bit arrogant and warned of false prophets that would come after him. He warned against it. he thought the Scribes and Pharisees were hypocrites and called them out on it

He told his disciples to obey the law and pay the temple tax and even performed a miracle and told them to cast their lines in the lake and they will find a coin in the fishes mouth so that he could pay their tax. This discussion is happening for a reason and maybe in some strange way I am beginning to realize that I need to live a life more in the way that a Christian should live. My plan was to go down to Florida for a few days but it has been raining so much here I had put it off until things clear up. You have really caused me to take inventory of my life and the direction it is heading. Perhaps some of the things I do is out of loneliness as I have been out of my last relationship for about 11 months. I also thought that some of the things I have said to you were not the way that Christ would want a Christian to react. I tried not to get down to gutter insults with you but my temper get the best of me at times. I think the best thing I can do is to stop trying to convince you of something that you don't believe in or justify my beliefs or world view with you.

This is going nowhere and I have too many important things going on in my life than to worry about what insulting thing you will say next.
