Yeah, I'm not sure why you're being so down on this Straight Shooter. Yeah, Biden may have added a little gloss over the fact that his 2k included 600 already approved, but it was a fineprint detail, not an outright fucking lie. Did you read the details of his policy during his campaign? Do you know exactly what was promised? If he said 2k and most people end up with 2k then he's probably in the ballpark of whatever he promised, and that's pretty fucking good for US government lately.
We'll be hearing the phrase don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good a lot in the coming times. If we can balance that with don't let bullshit happen for the sake of compromise with extremists then we might be heading towards a functioning democratic government!

Some people can be sticklers on the details. They want one $2,000 check, not checks for $600 and $1,400. [Perhaps it clogs up their check register?] Or they want $2,600 - the initial $600 plus another $2,000. Then we are stuck with $2,600 <> $2,000.
In fairness, Warnock's ad is somewhat misleading. He said "Want a $2,000 check? Vote Warnock." Is he promising $2,000 for all of his voters? It sounds like he would owe his voters $2,000 even if he lost. Vote buying is Electoral Fraud.
Fortunately, Georgia's Taylor Greene is on the case by filing impeachment articles against Biden. Get Biden out of there and bring back Trump!Trump said he wanted $2,000 checks and he said "We'll be back in some form."

"Now by putting these more restrictive 'Buy American' policies in place, we are further exacerbating some of the trade problems that we've had," he opined. "It's annoying people to the north, it's annoying other countries."

While I can accept that a total of 2,000 dollars might have been the intention for some, (some people did start advocating for that amount before the 600 dollars even ****** to be fair to at least some of them.) they should have been extremely clear about that from the beginning to avoid a dumb situation like this. Any moderately savvy person should easily have seen this coming. I have a feeling some democrats even purposely left it vague in the hopes of reeling in more votes, and can now use the ambiguity as an excuse to give less.
Really if it was up to me I would just aim high and get everybody another $2,000. It helps out people that need it more, and really it isn't like the Republicans are going to fight it any less if it's only 1,600 instead of 2,000 dollars. Plus if you start high you might leave room for negotiation if there really is no other choice. That's harder to do if you start low.
