I say no because it will be far far worse than in Afganistan. Let Israel launch their Jericho III ICBMs on Syria if things go too awry

Mr. Daystar

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
Fuck no. This is their problem, let them deal with it. If they fuck with Israel, we get their back, and cover their ass, but let these countries do deal with their own shit.

Sarin in Syria today will be served up in Falafel stands in the USA next week...that's the ONLY interest we have in the region that justifies dealing with those fanatics.
Shoulda gone and done sumpin' way before it got so busy there...fuck the asshole in Chief, the hard boys we have in the service of our country know how to deal with the real (for a while) live enemies of our families and our country...it's a little late now.
Poison gas is no joke.

No, but they will. At the end of the day, they did destabilize Egypt, Algeria and Libya for a reason and now it's time to move one step forward. Even the rocks know that the final objective is Iran and there is no ignition without sparks. One month left until the Nobel prizes: go camobahol, you can make it!

So Dear Leader wants to get involved in a Civil War. Fantastic. I would have hoped he would have gone after the assholes responsible for the fiasco in Libya with as much enthusiasm. Wait, would that mean he'd have to go after himself?

No, that´s too late now. But I would send a TEAM to get THIS azzholes on their azzholes, who were bombing civil ppl. with poison-gas, THOSE who pressed the button .
Once the USA did very well, .. Osama bin bullshit is dead. So do it again, if it´s Assad it´s Assad, if it´s the rebell - commander it´s the rebell - commander.

No.

A conservative estimate is that over 100,00 people have been killed (half of those civilians) since the Syrian uprising started 2 years ago.
So hundreds are killed by a chemical attack and somehow that has crossed a line and sparked international outrage? If Assad had simply shelled them and they'd been blown to bits by flying shrapnel then it would've been just another day at the office? They'd be just as dead albeit harder to identify.

Wars don't end just because the U.S. decided to turn a blind eye. What happens is that they in fact get worse. The longer we wait the worse this war will become and we just cannot ignore the fact that chemical weapons have been used.

Um, didn't we bomb Libya?

So you equate indiscriminate, inefficient bombing of general targets that may or may not have taken part in the murder of an ambassador and three other Americans with payback? You are fantastically retarded. That, and the U.S. has zero business getting involved in another war at this point. It will escalate. Dear Leader isn't going to wait for the useless idiots at the U.N. either. Maybe they'll give him another Nobel Prize.

We intervened militarily in Libya BEFORE the attack on Benghazi happened, foreign intervention was in 2011 while Benghazi occured in 2012. You seem to be the one who's retarded

Dictator Vs terrorists, let Allah decide of the fate of that war and, since as long as they keep busy killing each other they won't attack somone else, let's hope they will kepep fighting against each other for many many years...

There are jihadist groups fighting among the rebels but the bulk of the opposition is made up of the Free Syrian Army which are Syrian military defectors. If the U.S. does get involved which looks inevitable that is the group we need to support. Hezbollah which is a terrorist group is fighting on the side of the Syrian government.

The US is the focus because they're considered the "leaders" of the effort, but the UK will soon hold a vote on whether military action should be taken, France has backed it, The Arab League has backed it, and Turkey has as well, Turkey could also invoke Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty, but seem hesitant to do so. As mentioned above this could lead to an even bigger problem, Russia and Iran have already warned the US against military action. Someone I was talking to today said they heard Russia threatened to attack Saudi Arabia if US attacked Syria. Russia supposedly received a bid/threat from Saudi Arabia to back away from the Assad regime and get their oil from Saudi Arabia, some speculate Saudi Arabia threatened a terrorist attack on the Olympics if Russia did not do so. Russia has always been arming the Assad regime before and since the war, big reason is Russia's only navy base outside of the former USSR is in Syria.

I'm against it, especially at the moment, we should wait for the UN's report and look at all options before taking action. I mean also in the 80's we warned Iraq about an incoming attack from Iran and helped them plan to stop it while knowing Iraq would use chemical weapons on Iranian troops, which they did, now we want to rush into Syria for use of chemical weapons. Some act like the only action that will be taken is us shooting off cruise missiles from destroyers, but who knows.
