Indian Food at Chutney's over on Pico and Barrington. Whole Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Tikka Marsala, Lamb Curry, Rice, Vegetables, Salad, and Naan Bread.
I made scrambled eggs and shrimp. A deliciously simple Chinese dish. Fresh chicken eggs from the yard just make it that much better. Organic scallions too. Rice on the side. Yum.
Stumbles across a bag of vermicelli at the market. I love Rice-a-Roni and here were those little pasta thingies for me to make it myself. It took no more time or effort than making it from a box and at a fraction of the cost. That with a breaded pork chop and yum.
Went to El Coyote over on Beverly Bl west of La Brea. Had some great Carne Asada w/rice and beans. Always loved that place. If you go there have a few Scratch Margaritas with your meal.
Went to Bay Cities Italian Deli on Lincoln Bl in Santa Monica and got a Large Godmother(spicy) w/the works. Bread was chewy but flavorful and the insides with the meat, cheese, and other toppings was amazing.
I sauteed some onions and garlic in olive oil, added some sardines and kale, let it simmer, and then threw it over some whole-wheat spaghetti. It was good, but underseasoned.
Big ass Wet Chicken Burrito with Jack Cheese, Diced Jalapeños, and Green Enchilada Sauce over the top made by me. I used delicious Gelson's Rotisserie Chicken for the Chicken part. Sure was good.
Pizza at Cosimo's in Newburg. A ****** supper after my nephew's graduation. My first taste of wood fired pizza. Fennel spicy sausage with fresh basil and buffalo mozzarella. I usually like my pies with lots of **** on it but this one I'd order again. Flavors of each ingredient did not overpower each other. Bruschetta perfectly fresh. Took half of everything home.
The **** ordered sorbet for desert. The coconut was served in a half coconut shell. The lemon had a rind spiraled around the sorbet and looked like a football. That's how to wow a *** at a restaurant.
Fried rice; beef, green beans, carrots, scallions, onions, green and red bell peppers, cabbage, and bamboo shoots. It was good, but I think that I should invest in a wok before attempting to cook that much at once again.
