...crappy-crapola-crap buffet from the Rio. No good. Avoid.

No surprise. Caesars properties are notorious for that. $35 + 20 to add seafood? Take that money and get something that won't be sitting under heat lamps.

Yesterday was my first try at lo mein. Not bad. Got the basics down and know where to tweak. May never order it from the chink's again.

The all you can eat snow crab buffet at one of the restaurants at Caesar's Atlantic City is the best I've ever had. The crab is fresh and they snapped when you broke them in two and not rubbery like some frozen shells are. I'd drive up to AC just for that they are so good.

Last night on the way home from our road trip we stopped by at Chili's in Rancho Cucamonga. We shared some Boneless Buffalo Wings and Baby Back Ribs and both got a Bowl Of Chili. Good trademark stuffs from Chili's.

Tonight, Filipino Food. Beef Kaldareta. Good as always made by mom-in-law.

Last night I had gruel...(I described that in this already somewhere), but I just made them into sandwiches, like you would with sloppy joe, instead of over mashed potatoes.

Sunday, I made a nice pot of split pea soup with the bone from the Easter ham we had.

My sister jacked the ham bone I claimed. What did she do with it? Gave it to her dog. I hope that little beast dragged it all over her furniture, bedding, and carpet,

Patty melt. Mushroom, Swiss, onions on rye. Here's the twist. Instead of buttering the rye with butter I used mayo. Delivered a nice crisp toast. Give it a try.

Cod and potato mashed into cakes with green onions and spices. Fried up really nice with mac and cheese on the side. Quick and simple with very little prep or clean up.

For Suppertime last night I made Taco Burritos. I took taco-seasoned ground beef, lettuce, cheddar cheese, guacamole, and taco sauce and wrapped it all in a flour tortilla. I just ate another one for Breakfast too.

Well, Dino, tonight I stopped off at Hardee's aka Carl's Junior and ordered the big bag lunch for 5 bucks and change. I got the 2 double cheeseburger deal.

Here's the twist. I paid 2 bucks extra and had them to ditch the mustard, ketchup onions and pickles on the burgers and add swiss cheese and mushroom sauce.

Got a large refreshing ice cold Hi-C orange Lavaburst to drink with fries. It also came with a hot apple turnover.

It was damn good and I am still full.

All for around 7 bucks.

Sure sounds good and you're a shrewd businessman for getting a tasty and filling supper like that all for around 7 bucks.

Tonight we had the ever-reliable Chick-Fil-A in Westwood Village on the corner of Westwood Bl and Le Conte Ave after acquiring a parking spot at the Ralphs lot just down the street. I had the #2 Chick-Fil-A Deluxe Sandwich Meal w/Waffle Potato Fries and a very thirst quenching Coca-Cola with just enough ice but not one cube more than I like. I also asked for 4 Chick-Fil-A Sauces which I was approved for plus they even gave me some ketchups thinking I might want them for those Waffle Potato Fries. Next time I gotta remember to ask about their Backstage Kitchen Tours. Sounds like a blast.

Last night I pan fried a couple of thick and juicy ground sirloin burgers. Topped them off with pepperjack cheese, mayo lettuce and tomato and a couple of strategically placed bread and butter pickles. Opened a bag of sour cream and cheddar Ruffles potato chips and voilà!

To drink, I poured a tall glass of Mello-Yellow citrus soda with ice.

Delicioso

A new discovery for me. Just add water complete pancake mix. Breakfast for supper now has a new twist. Wrap those cakes around a fat breakfast sausages or egg mixy thingies like a soft taco. Yum.

Last night the wife made a Rachel Ray recipe. It's called "spicy noodle bowls". It's supposed to be a 30 minute meal, but prep fucks that timeclock. It's basically just chicken stock...has to be box for quick and easy...but home made would be killer.

You'll have to look for the recipe on "The Food Networks" website, but I know it has red pepper flakes, ginger, other then that, for my bart I did the following....

Trimmed 3 chicken breasts, then sliced them thin, back to front, then browned it in a pan with some olive oil. pulled the tails off of pound or two of thawed froved whoe cocktail size shrimp, and rinsed them off, then cut some fresh mushrooms...med into thirds, large into quarters.

The wife cut up a bunch of bok choy, and green onions, tossed everything into the stock, in some order that left the shrimp, and shrooms firm, the chicken tender, and the spice just right.

I took my bowl, gave it a dash of salt, a little more red pepper flakes, and enough crackers to soak up all of the broth.

Spicy Noodle Bowls....a Rachel Ray recipe, that fits perfect on a coldish, damp spring day.

Took the 1 and a half pounds of ground sirloin that I had left from last night and browned it in a pan with just a little tomato paste and chili powder.

Diced some tomatoes and onions and grated some sharp NY cheddar.

Threw a few Tostido's® on the plate and dumped the hamburger melted grated cheese, tomatoes ,onions, Old El Paso® taco sauce and sliced jalapeño peppers on top.

Washed it all down with a thirst quenching Coca Cola.

It was very good.

Besides the Baby Back Ribs also got a Bowl of Chili and shared the Boneless Buffalo Wings and Oreo Hot Fudge Cake thingy. Always a tasty Supper at Chili's especially when the wife is paying.

Last night it was our Zankou Chicken Mediterranean BBQ Feast featuring a Whole Rotisserie Chicken, 3 Steak Skewers, Garden Salad, Rice, Hummus, and Flatbread. I'm a Zankou freak!
