You said "at Marie Callender's" is that a restaurant chain out west? All I know about Marie Callender's is their quick frozen meals? I like the pot pies
We used to have a Marie Callender's restaurant here many years ago, but it closed down. I never actually ate there. I used to just go there to buy their pies. They had some fantastic pies. :drool2:

As to what I had for suppertime today? Well, speaking of pies ... it wasn't an organized supper, but it did feature a piece of delicious Pumpkin Cheesecake. I also had some Doritos and some Iced Tea.

Well fuck! I thought Marie Callender's was a frozen foods only thing.

MosDef try out one of these the next time I am on the left coast.

Took the wife out for some great Indian Food at a place called Nizam right across from Westside Pavillion on Pico steps away from Westwood Bl. The Chicken Tikka Marsala, Lamb Vindaloo, Shrimp Curry, a mixed Tandoori Platter, and Garlic Naan all tasted very good and we both liked it. I recommend the place if you are over on the Westside.

Went to this Texas BBQ joint on Overland just north of Palms and got this great "Outlaw BBQ Beef Brisket" sandwich with baked beans and cornbread. I suggest calling ahead because the Countryish Blackk Lady that runs the place is slow as molasses but she does know her BBQ.

Tonight, Tito's Tacos over on Washington Pl off'a Sepulveda right by Lemon Drop's Hooker Cage in Culver City. Tito is both a Sooper Mexican and a Kotdarn American Treasure. I am proud to have the best taco uncle ever.

My mother-in-law made some Chicken Adobo. Very good. The first time she made it for me I didn't like it. There were too many peppercorns. When the wife also complained about the peppercorns I felt better willing to try it again with an open mind after it was adjusted. Glad I did. You can put most any meat in that garlic, vinegar, and soy sauce and it will taste good. I'd even eat Hobo Adobo if she served made it now.

Took the wife also bringing mother-in-law this time to Galbi King for some more very good Korean BBQ. We got brisket, short ribs, bulgogi, spicy chicken breast, seafood tofu soup, and some nice side dishes. In West LA on the corner of National/Sawtelle. All you can eat for $20 each.

Grilled center cut pork chops, wild rice and garden peas.

Sure was good.

Sounds great. I love pork chops. Sometimes I like to get pork cutlets, pound them out real flat, then bread them and fry them in hot grease using BBQ sauce for dipping.

The Filipino family I married into eats tons of pork. Still waiting for the wife to make some pork adobo.

Tonight we're having some Bistek and rice. Good stuff.

Maruchan Ramen Shrimp Noodles with some Tony Chachere's Creole Seasoning added. Damn, that was good! :yesyes: However, Wooooo! That spicy Creole Seasoning gave me a coughing fit that I couldn't shake there for a while ... threatening to cut off my breathing there at the back of my throat. Also had my nose running. But, again, excellent once I got back control of the situation. :coolthumb: :D

:rofl2: I couldn't stop laughing about that 3-second shit and the 10-minute wipe.

Anyway ... I had 4 Gorditas, Beans & Rice and a bag of Hot Buffalo-flavored Bugles.

And to think that right before that, I had been literally just seconds away from getting up to fix me some Ramen Noodles when one of my sisters spontaneously showed up with the Gorditas meal. Nice save. :1orglaugh I mean, I like Ramen Noodles, but it's no contest there.
