Suppertime! Suppertime! Hey Fellas, What'd You Have For Supper Tonight?

I originally saw Huell Howser on KCET do a show on this great Polish Restaurant about 7 years ago. Always wanted to go but never went until tonight. Great little family owned place with nice decorations located in a min-mall. I wasn't sure what to get so I(we both) got a bit of the main stuff in the #11 Royal Platter. For starters we had Cream Of Spinach Soup and Salad. The Royal Platter had Beef Gulasz(Stew), Golabki(Stuffed Cabbage w/meat), and 2 Potato/Cheese/Jalapeño Pierogies, with potatoes, carrots, and corn on the side. After wte finished we got some Cherry & Cream Cheese Crepes. A lot of food but it sure was good. We'll be back at Polka Polish Restaurant for sure.

My local market always cuts their meats razor thin. I caught my butcher during a meat delivery and asked him for some thick pork chops to stuff. 5 really nice 2 bone thicks. Sautéed mushrooms carrots onion garlic celery. Add Cheez-Its. Yum.

4 more to play with in the freezer for later. I can't wait.

Good plate of Persian Food At The Pita Cafe on 11033 Santa Monica Blvd in West LA just east of Sepulveda. Got the Combo Kabob which is a combination of chicken kabob, shish kabob, & koobideh kabob. Comes with rice, salad, and pita. Heck yeah! That was a lotta food.

We just got a new grill and my mother in law made some of the best pork chops I ever had that she marinated for 2 days in soy sauce, garlic, lemon juice, and pepper.

Before I got married I had no idea how much pork Filipinos eat. We had Pork Adobo last night that sure was good too.

Started to put a couple of grass fed ribeye steaks on the grill...and the fucking thing ran out of gas. spare was empty too. The wife finished them in a pan, on the stove, then pan fried a few large scallops she got on sale. Spinach, and mashed potatoes finished it.

Fridge and pantry clean up. Bones went in to make stock. Got about a gallon and a half. Eggs and tuna were on sale so they got mixed with some noodles for a nice cold thing. Pork Lo Mein again too. All have been enjoyed and packed into Tupperware for the rest of the week.

Some good ole KFC. Got a 16 piece meal, Original Recipe, with biscuits, corn, potato wedges, mac & cheese, and mashed potatoes & gravy.

Sounds like a good $50 meal. Last time I paid that much for KFC I got my food home and the chicken was still frozen in the middle. That was the last time I had KFC

Arby's. The wife had a long day, and mine wasn't great. I don't know what she's going to get me, but it is what it is.

Russian Food at a place in West Hollywood called Traktir. Started out with 2 bowls of Borscht and some Stuffed Cabbage. For the entrees the wife had Chicken Tabaka (Pan seared pressed Cornish hen in a garlic wine sauce) and I had Lamb Shashlik (Marinated lamb in herbs and spices). Great stuff. Next time we go there we'll grab an Uber and drink Vodka.
