My *** was a Repub, sweet and caring to everyone and hard to confuse, very sensible lady. I meet so many kind people every day who are multi gen Repubs and they are not stupid nor illogical; on the other hand I meet many Dems who absolutely follow whatever Otrama says and believe it all solely 'cause he's a Black man. As far as Reid and his accusations against Romney, well, that was what Reid had heard. Bad information can lead to bad decisions. WMDs? Remember those? And of course you should probably take into account that, thanks to capital gains, while Romney did pay taxes, he also paid a lower percentage than someone from the middle class would. Romney's defense to this was of course that he was just following the rules, but he's also someone who has consistently voted to maintain that tax rate. Tough to argue that you're just following the rules when you're one of the people making them...

Look at what their OPEN agenda has been while the country was in peril: No compromise, first priority making Obama a one-term President. That was the party agenda, openly stated to the public. Sound reasonable? Sound constructive? Sound helpful?

See, that's a reason why I consider most republicans to be incapable of logical thinking. Because you all assume that we like Obama for stupid bullshit reasons, like simply because he's black or because he's interested in helping the poor. In reality, the only people bringing out the race card are people like you. I vote for democrats simply because they're democrats, no matter what skin color, age, height, gender, whatever. If Obama hadn't been the running democrat, I would have voted for whoever else the democrat was. Of course Romney paid less on Capital Gains than Income ...he had already paid taxes on the money invested. So, Cap Gains is just even more taxes on income. And everyone pays the same rate, silly, just most middle income people don't have Cap Gains to pay tax on...that's what makes them Middle Income! Geez....

The fact he has shown respect for the sitting Pres speaks to his serious level of honor and class, a trait sorely lacking in todays Pres and 1st lady.
