The stereotype comes from doing it in the open. In fact there are millions of "regular" girls who are attracted by fame, money, power and they get their holes filled by anybody who can provide for those 3 things, no matter the love, the look, the goodness of their partners. That's why i don't usually take offense for much, related to what i do, because i know that the mom of the offender is probably much more of a slut than i am.

well some stereotypes actually 'praise'/compliment or raise the 'status' of the group being stereotyped, so some stereotypes could be seen as 'positive' (eg. blondes have more fun etc.) BUT likely only for those of this said group to which the stereotype holds true (so i'm sure there are many persons who LIKE certain positive stereotypes about their group). however, it will likely be offensive for those who do not fit the stereotype as it creates a certain expectation and not being able to meet this expectation may lead to self-loathing or resentment of others who actually believe and/or perpetuate the stereotype (ask any one of us black men who doesn't have an "mandingo penis" how we feel about persons who 'expect' us to be hung like a horse simply because of the stereotype). So even positive stereotypes have negative consequences but my point being that if an individual deems a stereotype to be positive (eg. black men have huge dongs), and they do in fact fit this stereotype (i am a black man and i do have a big dick), then they will like that the stereotype is perpetuated, no matter how far from the truth it may be for the general population of that stereotyped group (blacks are no different from other races, we have guys that are small, average and large, like any other race)

You know, the stereotype that all adult performers is pretty much true. The reason being called a slut, skank, whore, etc. is not because we don't think we are promiscuous, but because of the negative connotation the words hold. When people call someone a slut or other similar word, they mean it in a negative manner, as if it's so awful and disgusting to sleep with so many people. If the words weren't thought of as so negatively, it wouldn't be considered an insult.

I find it humorous that people assume we are not intelligent because we work in the adult industry. That's a myth along with being a drug addict, being abused as a child, having a suitcase pimp, not being able to get a "real" job, etc. Most of us like what we do and frankly it's pretty lame to judge someone for doing porn when you are a consumer of it.
